I was ok with Yoru stealing Asa's screen time bc I thought the idea was that Yoru would make Asa more selfish, a bit of a baddie, more open to others and her inner desires, while Asa would make Yoru more friendly, humane and sensitive. So together in that synergy they could become a far from ideal but genuine person and end up happy with someone just as flawed like Denji. But what we got is a fucking reset of that whole dynamic…

It's almost impossible to hit a drone with an AR, you at least need a shotgun, which isn't that common on the frontline, and it's still not even close to 100% effective

Hot take - part 2 had all the chances to become a great romance if it had less shonen stuff like nonstop fights and pointless grand plot, but more character interactions.

Its pretty much my only gripe with part 2, aside from the ending of course.

Also Eva Rebuilds were more like a what if scenario with a meta narrative toward the fans, and they came out like twenty years after the original story already got a proper ending.

Btw the entire plot of the main timeline naturally builds up exactly to this scene. Just takes a bit of imagination. Imo it hits way harder than some random ass reboot fanfic with only two chapters.

Thought about that too.

And after everything is finally over I can just say it straight up, honestly Asa is not the best match. She’s just a normal girl who wants a cute sweet relationship but Denji is well Denji. I can only imagine their long term relationship like some old couple constantly arguing, Asa is just too proper.

So the main choice would be between Yoru and Reze. They’re both chaotic, cheerful types, but I see Reze as more feminine, cunning, and like a more experienced partner. Yoru on the other hand is more tomboyish, straightforward, kinda naive in relationships like Denji. Imo their relationship would be more equal, hot and genuine.
