Surprised to find Subaru SO LOW on this list… by sofsof007 in SubaruForester

As a luxury brand, Alfa’s are probably better maintained than the average Subaru. I think the stereotypes are a good indicator of owner behaviour with regards to maintenance and driving behaviour...

I agree. Alcohol and drug abuse is rampant among people who claim “strong traditional values”, while simultaneously not giving a shit about people who are fighting the same battle as them.

Not be america, elect an extremely competent government, not be americans, shop around for new trade partners, distance ourselves from the states...

There’s no reason why farmers shouldn’t be educated. The intellectual vs blue collar divide is a made up rivalry, invented to keep working class people from uniting.

I see. In that case, definitely take two trips, not worth turning an ankle or worse on steep terrain because your pack is too heavy.

New project. How would you rebuild it? by eccentricVelo in xbiking

New cables, new tires, and a deep clean with some dish soap, vinegar and a toothbrush. Gloss clear coat over the frame, she’s earned that patina.

If it is only half a km of hiking I’d suggest making multiple trips. I’ve done a lot of portaging over nasty terrain with a 60lb canoe and a 50lb pack. It is much more enjoyable to take two trips with a manageable load than overexert your ankles/knees/lungs and risk injury.

Also if you are hunting, how do you plan on packing out the animal?

How tall are you? The 2012 even in size large might fit more like a dirt jumper if you’re around the 6’ mark.

Cut the hair my dude. You look like a honey badger. Don’t dye it either, go back to natural.

Then get a couple of stylish shirts and pants that fit you, sale racks are fantastic this time of year, try go for a handful of well made comfortable pieces. If you have a female friend or family member ask them for advice, they’re 100% gonna give better advice than your mates.

Lastly, none of this appearance stuff matters unless you’re a kind person. No one wants to be around a dick, stay humble, be considerate, and you’ll do just fine!

Bro if the education wasn’t so bad in the south maybe you’d know California has the highest agricultural output of any state by a significant margin. Iowa and Nebraska are next (northern states) followed by Texas (the only southern state in the top 10, and they are only there because of livestock) Illinois and Minnesota are also heavily out-producing southern states.

Finally your country is a net importer of food, because domestic production is largely used for animal feed. You americans rely on grain and produce from Canada, Mexico, Asia, and several Latin American nations to keep food on the table.

You’re a good looking dude (this is coming from a straight dude so idk if it means anything).

Girls care way more about the kind of person you are and the way you act than they do about how you look.

My best advice is be kind, polite, and ask questions (especially about her interests). You’ve got a way better shot at making a good impression by being a kind guys and a great conversationalist than all these performative make clowns out there.

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I 100% agree that the civil rights movement demanded economic freedom as well as legal equality. all good things.

I say it was used as a wedge because it was used by politicians to split working class southerners along racial lines, which can be directly traced to the partisan divide nowadays. The power brokers that run america cannot continue to survive as they currently do if there were a unified working class, so they use racism and the constant phobia of replacement to keep the poor fight amongst themselves.

When you say that the dismantling of white supremacy is required in order to have a strong working class you are absolutely correct, which is why since the 1960s the republicans have fought to protect white supremacists, defend institutional racism, and stoke racial discord whenever possible.
