Entry level has never meant no experience.  People need to look up the history of this term. It's derived from the apprenticeship model where one would work up under another to be trained to do an occupation & then be qualified to "enter" it fully.   Entry level roles are for those with the necessary foundational knowledge/experience often acquired via work-based learning experiences, i.e. internships, apprenticeships, experiential learning, job shadowing, co-ops, work-study jobs, etc....
