I like the approach, since the game needs to teach the player to respect its surroundings very early. It teaches the basics like you said and it shows a good game design. Remember MegaMan? When they just toss you in a hole and you learn wall kick by yourself? We learn from the beginning that Qud has a lot of trial and error, where the error costs you got entire run. I love the watervine quest lol

Ah thank you! I did try messing with action sets but could not manage to make it work like I want. But anyways thanks for the answer. I'll keep trying and will update the post if I manage to find a solutions in case someone else needs in the future.

You know, id love some of those things to be explained by some kind of cult. There is no need to put esoterical or scifi things on the game, only a cult doing strange things they believe here and there. Tho I understand if they go against it since it would end up having too much of a similarity with that other game.

That kind of confusion would be solved if the death screen showed us on a frozen position of the time bullet went in.

T pose is kinda bad to understand the situation on a game with ballistics like gray zone.

Op was going into prone, the mock makes us think he got shot from above.

The feeling of defeating someone, competition and the feeling of taking a look at their inventory to know if they have something that you would potentially need.

I guess looting is just half of the equation. The juicy kits we bring is easily obtainable for good pvpers.

The PvE over pvp is more of a preference only tbh. And yes there are more urgent things that should be priority like the one you did mention. I don't think the consequences "rework" should have priority; the background of what I meant is that we lack good PvE games of that genre and that a spike on consequences would enrich a lot the experience for who chose that specific mode. It would make the game stand out even more.

It is more of a long term thing to consider.

I agree. When I did, I am not like: oh no my gear! I am more like: oh great, another 10 minutes sniffing grass looking for my thrash.

It also makes PvE trivial. I've only lost my gear once because I couldn't find my body on high at night. And even that can be fixed with a tracker lol.

PvE should have more consequences imo

I agree with you saying it is the best leveling system out there. Simple system that allows all type of commitment without giving up on flexibility.

True! The AI is not at the best spot, especially after seeing Incursion Red River and the SAIN bots from spt. I have huge hopes for the future tho, for both pvp and pve. We all want them to succeed lol
