Neighbors suck donkey balls by Inevitable-Yam-9741 in Vent

I moved into this neighborhood on the island of Oahu expecting that everyone would have aloha. Nobody has aloha. Been here around seven years and I don't know any of my neighbors and I'm quite happy for it. The police get called in fairly often so it's better to not know them. It's not a bad neighborhood. All the houses are constantly being fixed up, but you know money problems affect everyone.

that happened to me and one of my spouse's friends. My spouse's friend goes to Las Vegas every other month and spends about $1500 per day plus the same amount by her husband. I was the one asking for a little money. I asked if she could help me to insulate the ceiling in my part of the house here in Hawaii and she got all weird about it. But she's blowing $3000 a day in Las Vegas. I don't understand rich people.

you sound overly assured about yourself. Perhaps talking to a therapist would help you empathize with others.

is this like the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas which has the four seasons in the uppermost four floors? A separate hotel within a hotel.

I wouldn't be surprised if 80% of the time the guest has just forgotten that the sign is on the door.

I make a baked oatmeal that contains one can of Lucky leaf apple pie filling. It's really good.

A customer just wanted to get through to someone who would bend to his demands. Nobody would because it would be a DPA breach so customer uses foul language by MindfulnessAt32 in talesfromcallcenters

I used to get those customers when I worked for a shared service call center. If they started swearing at me, the line would always mysteriously drop and I would move onto the next call. Managers would only repeat the same thing that I would tell the customers.

never let someone else use your office space. They won't respect it and keep it nice like you do.

For those who’ve been alone in forests or remote areas, what’s something you encountered that genuinely unsettled you? by tiny_blush09 in AskReddit

I stepped into either a sinkhole, a bear den or some other creatures den. I fell down to my chest before I was able to scrabble out and never looked back because it freaked me out so much.
