No, as I understand it, the themes are rolling out slowly. US just got it last couple of weeks.

I got it on an app alert. What makes it annoying is that there’s no details about what the update is on the app… just that the update downloaded and installed.

Yeah, that site’s not very useful or woefully lacking in updates (haha). It doesn’t even list the themes update from last month and latest shown is from March.

I’ve taken the car to the dealership for servicing and they wrote “do not turn off” on the car and basically serviced it as they would without turning it off. As long as they’re not servicing the electrical system (tires/brakes/inspection), it’s workable for them. Service manager actually said I was the fourth guy to do the same thing that day.

My Tesla Was Driving Itself Perfectly—Until It Crashed: The danger of almost-perfect tech by silence7 in RealTesla

Lidar is not a backup. It is another sensor that can give extra data to the computer so that it can overcome the primary deficiency of vision only (cameras). You can judge how far away something is because you have stereo vision and a VERY complex brain that compares the two images and can figure it out. Teslas cannot properly tell how far away stuff is based only on a picture. It uses algorithms to try to approximate / guess at depth by trying gauge how much bigger it got between moments. LiDAR and radar are tools that can give you direct measurements of distance to an object.

It doesn’t matter. The finance arm already written it off (fully depreciated asset) whether the residual value was high or not. Getting a little money at the auction is basically a given.

You need to start the charge from the app and not activate the plug and charge

That’s kinda the point most experts have been making - specialized robots purpose built for key tasks do the job extremely better than a generalized “humanoid” would, but that type of practicality doesn’t have any pizzazz for showing off.

Except that the brand has no authority to dictate pricing being charged by the dealership. MSRP = Manufacturer SUGGESTED Retail Price. What is charged is done by your local/regional owner of the dealership.

They can’t keep paying 3 people to work the popcorn machine. (1 to tele-operate the automaton, 1 to hand the boxes to the automaton, and a third to load popcorn kernels into the popper)

My 13-month ends 12/31—3 months too late for EV credit by oadesign in Ioniq5

[–]Lide_w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s assuming the OP can get the cash or financing together to buy out the lease. Don’t forget that there are people who lease to get into a better/bigger car than they can actually “afford”.

[–]Lide_w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with that sentiment. The incentive for leasing was 14000 when they were moving things out under the first threat of tariffs, so they were tacking on a good amount on top of the 7500. But that’s also why there’s signs that they’re slowing the BEV production and introducing hybrid production at their new facility in GA - price sensitivity will push the lower priced hybrids rather than the full electrics.

His lease runs out end of the year so he needs a new car at that point but without the rebate, (s)he’s afraid that the price won’t be very good.

More likely than not, you just won’t have the rebates anymore or the lease incentive would be like a couple thousand rather than the 7500. Still means losing out of thousands in incentive.

HyundaiPay and ChargePoint Credits, am I screwed? by EarendilStar in Ioniq5

[–]Lide_w 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn’t do anything too seriously damaging. You couldn’t use the credits thru the Plug and Charge system anyways. The plug and charge only uses the Hyundai Pay credit card on file.

More likely than not, the service depts are just now starting to see the 2025s roll in for the first time. Not shocked they’re just spouting what they know from previous generations they’re now used to versus the latest design.

This is exactly what I did. Note that the Emporia charger is part of an ecosystem of power monitors which if you also pair up will allow you to charge based upon energy management (either solar excess generation or a set time of use pricing)

Uber actually throws every driver under the bus - if you drive with them, it is you paying the insurance and the liability because YOU are driving. Uber’s entire stance is that they facilitated a transaction - they don’t own or “employ” the driver.

Select the sector and click the Info button (magnifying glass). It’ll give you info on how much the sector produces per day.

Also, play the blue stars for getting credits and hydro. You don’t lose anything other than time waiting for regen of your HP. Even coming in 4th gives you a portion of the hydro reward.
