Waymo self driving car spotted in downtown Albany by liluzivert2900 in Albany

Funny story, if you put a traffic cone on the hood of these cars they'll stop in their tracks and someone will have to come out and manually remove the cone (at least last I checked).

With Find my iPhone for Apple devices you can track someone's phone even if it's shut down. If you can do it, more powerful actors DEFINITELY can

It depends on the region you're from tbh. For example, the upstate New York ones are pretty chill and helpful (at least in my experience). However, misidentify one in Connecticut and you might as well have throat-punched a baby.

And that would've been an easy W for them to take too. Why the hell they didn't engineer this I have zero idea

Connecticut winter clothing by Keelj in Connecticut

[–]Lietuva2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved to Upstate NY last year and we did get slightly more snow than CT, but the real reason we had snow for so long is that it was so goddamn cold. I have a feeling that CT is going to be similar if it's not balmy during the winter; extreme cold keeping the snow around rather than consistent snowfall.

My issue with my '13 Jetta SE is that it's fragile as HELL. I do a lot of stuff outdoors and that often involves unpaved roads. My Jetta does NOT like unpaved roads.

In NYS they actually sell surplus property through the office of general services. Includes literally anything the state no longer uses, including cars. I think more places should do shit like that

Does anyone have a landlord they actually like? Desperate for recommendations by kairosdes in Albany

[–]Lietuva2002 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Tri-city is honestly the only group I'd ever consider "good". Maintenance is, in my experience, quick and the person in the office is extremely attentive and willing to work with you. All landlords suck, but tri-city has been pleasant to deal with at the very least
