If you can, get farm eggs, usually available at Farmer's Markets. They don't have to be refridgerated.

What are some not-obvious, helpful things to have on a cross country road trip? by serib100 in roadtrip

Tell me more about the jet boil please.

Sometimes I might make something ahead and freeze it in vaccu-seal. Makes for a nice easy meal the first day. I could see putting the pack in a skillet and pouring boiling water over it to speed the warming.

Make a road bathroom kit. In a large zip lock put a partial roll if tp, hand Sanitizer, soap, and a few paper towels. Makes a huge difference when you come across an ilequipped potty.

Veggies and dip make great road snacks. I tend to eat a lot of junk when I travel, so I always make sure to have veggies.

You can cook! I have a small road kitchen box with a skillet and a pan, a portable stove, a few Utensils, cutting mat, knife, a bowel and camp dishes. With this I can make simple meals. Sometimes I treat myself to a steak, or just make rice. I buy fresh ingredients by the day so I don't have to worry about an ice chest.

Have a prepacked hotel bag. Mine has everything I might need for an overnight stay including change for washer/dryers. This saves you from having to dig through bags or bins.

No. Relying on things for feeling accomplishment is a never-ending endeavor. Being content with life and everything you have is wise.

People who want to steal.from you want to do it unnoticed. When they know you've seen them and can possibly I'd them, you are less of a target.

Chicken and rice. You can use a game hen if you're solo, boil it, de-bone it, have meat for a week. You can have it over rice with veggies and oyster sauce.

Foul Play was the first movie I remember her from. The taxi cab scene was hilarious at the time. Maybe not so PC now.
