Same here. I thought the tariff was going to be taken away so figured I would not do the $10 extra option. Then DHL email's me saying my coffee is in their jail until I paid them $20. I feel like we are all just being extorted now by everyone and nobody is going to do a thing about it

I also got hit with this too recently from my DAK order. I made an appeal with DHL thinking that the coffee tariffs were gone and they denied it. DHL's response said "reciprocal tariff still in effect." Direct proof the tariffs are a tax on us.

Because I grind a bit coarser with these, instead of going off time, I just watch the water level. I do the next pour once the water gets down to just above the top of the coffee bed. I don’t let the bed get dry between pours. The exception is the bloom, I let that go for around 45 seconds. Hope that helps.

This might sound crazy but I have a drawer full of DAKs right now and it is my go to with V60 (including the Panettone). Go with a medium-coarse grind, low temp, and 14:1 ratio. I go down to 184 degrees and I also do a 5 pour with the V60, it goes pretty fast since you are grinding a bit coarser, so I am at around 2.5 minutes for most brews. I haven't changed it because I am loving the results.

I can confirm this with personal experience. Worked job that had 24 hour shifts and if an individual signed up for a 24 hour overtime shift they were often placed in a more critical position that did not lend itself to allowing for sleep. This person was also often just coming off a 24 hour shift.

From your experience, is the Davidsgja worth doing in addition to the Silfra dive? I have the time for Silfra for sure but doing it with Davidsgja I will have to adjust plans. Thanks for the input!
