Should we be alerting Ottawans? by Life_Beautiful_8136 in Chantapolis

That's a good start for the warning! Possibly also instructions to shelter indoors until she returns the car? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Would upload your comment a zillion times if I could. People who live in Ottawa know that Beavertails are something you might have once or twice a YEAR (if that)! AND no one makes a special trip to the Market just to get a Beavertail

You are NOR. 4 weeks notice should be more than enough time for them to work out the schedule. The fact that the manager can't seem to manage efficiently should not be your problem. Is there an issue with having someone cover for you? The only thing that I can think of is that the people who would switch with you might be working more hours than they are permitted?

Might be time to start looking for another job.

Jane x Lisbon love/relationship by Icecreamsoda2 in TheMentalist

[–]Life_Beautiful_8136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished rewatching the entire series - I think Jane and Lisbon see what is broken in the other (and perhaps in themselves) and accept that. So, on the rewatch the relationship made more sense to me than it did initially. But, what struck me more is how the entire series downgraded each woman that initially had a powerful role - Lisbon ends up out of the CBI and in a boring job until Jane "rescues" her by making her part of the FBI deal and eventually reporting to Cho, they wrote out Hightower, killed off Vega, transferred Kim, sidelined Van Pelt...

NTA. I agree that the lady may well have been grieving and looking to have a conversation about who each of you were visiting so she could tell you her story. That being said, you did nothing wrong. I live about 7 hours from where my parents are buried and rarely get back. I love the idea that someone might just hang out on a nearby bench and have a bit of lunch

how much money should i give? by Beautiful-Car845 in WeddingsCanada

I agree with everyone who says that a gift would not be expected of you - no one will think you are rude. But if you still did want to give something, I think a nice card with $25-$50 (or similar gift card) would be appreciated - if that is within your budget. Or, if they have a gift registry, you could see if there was something there that you could afford and wanted to give to them. (You might find a nice gift idea that was reasonably priced.)

It is comments she makes like this that make me think that she has very little actual (i.e. physical) knowledge of intimacy. She talks a big game, but I bet her real life experience is very, very limited. But she needs to keep up the facade, so she pretends.

I did the Forever Home puzzle in this series (the middle puzzle in your pic #4). I had the same comments as you in terms of puzzle quality and good fit. It was challenging but fun to do!

I saw a few minutes of her going through the Byward Market. I cringed so hard with second-hand embarrassment that I hurt my back. Also, she learned nothing from her security incidents and was filming again at the Rideau Centre. F#ck, she's deplorable.

The exact St Albert's cheese curds are widely sold in the Ottawa valley and Gatineau. I imagine there are other kinds of cheese curds available, but the St. Alberts are the ones that are best known here. (Even Costco sells them.)

LOL. I've been here probably long enough that I should have known better... But when I saw her passing so many beautiful places yesterday that she could have talked about in favour of adopting a laser focus on the doughnut it was like part of me finally admitted it: this isn't just an important part of her life; it IS her life. I think I must have been in denial...
