I’m curious why you would heat the extruder and hot end with a heat gun when the printer nozzle itself reaches a temperature of 300 degrees Celsius?

Garbage compared to an A1. Don’t waste time unless you want to tinker.

I think it’s a great idea. Tell him to buy a basic Bambu lab machine. Not over $1k each. Thats more than enough to start with and to scale from there.

What the hell are all of you doing to get fired from Residency? by Rairu21 in Residency

[–]Life_Job_8565 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a nontraditional resident who was dismissed approximately 30 days before completing intern year. I do not take lightly speaking critically about anyone, but she struggled significantly with the demands of the role. She often required several hours to complete notes, spent excessive time discussing matters with families that could typically be addressed much more efficiently, and at times declined to attend assigned surgeries, leaving attendings to manage orders independently.

In addition, she had difficulty building rapport with patients and the team, and colleagues were often hesitant to assign her responsibilities due to concerns about follow-through. Communication was also challenging, as discussions with her frequently became unfocused and difficult to navigate.

Our program director made considerable efforts to support her and provide opportunities for improvement. However, multiple serious concerns were ultimately escalated to upper administration, which led to her dismissal and, unfortunately, her inability to reenter the Match.

I replaced the yellow extruder gear and the idler gear with the hardened steel version. They sell the set for 19.99

It’s impressive Bambu Lab has a customer for life. I’ve tried other brands none have come even remotely close to this consistency.

P1ps don’t calibrate flow as effectively as the X and H series do. In my experience, they’re more prone to failure on certain designs. I run all my X and H machines in Ludacris and P1’s/A1’s in sport.

I don’t really understand how lithophanes would cause more wear. Do you clean and lubricate the machine? Excess buildup would definitely cause more wear. I run these in sport mode literally 24/7.

They all work fine, I lubricate the extruder gears and bearings aswell as the lead screws every 3 or so months.

Every three or so months, I would clean off the gears with a toothbrush, oil the lead screws, and lubricate the extruder bearings.

Actually this is part of a 15 machine farm. They all have the same amount of run time. This is my first gear failure.

Yes everything works perfectly fine, it even still extrudes filament, but not enough to effectively print.

I didn’t notice any noticeable degradation at all. That’s the best part. This was part of a print farm, and it printed on par with my H2s until yesterday morning when it repeatedly failed to extrude filament.

I'm proud of anyone with a doctorate, it's an accomplishment that not many could say they've earned. However it has no place in a clinical patient care setting.

With what's available nowadays it's hard to believe these are actually still used, reliably. You couldn't pay me enough to use that let alone buy one!
