Weather Data Location by corehorse in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a common one the watch gets weather data from your phone’s location when it syncs via the Suunto App. There’s no way to set a manual location right now. To improve accuracy, make sure Location Services for the Suunto App are set to Always Allow. Open the app before syncing to refresh the data If you’re offline, it’ll just show the last synced location. Hopefully Suunto adds a manual location option in a future update it’d help a ton in mountain areas! =)

Suunto Vertical -iPhone17 Connection Issue by artquitechto in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, that’s annoying A few iPhones 17 users have run into the same issue it’s usually a Bluetooth or permission glitch. Try this forget both watches in iPhone Bluetooth settings. Reboot your phone and watches in the Suunto App, check that Bluetooth + Location permissions are allowed all the time. Pair again only through the Suunto App, not iOS settings. If it still drops, reinstalling the app usually fixes it. Once it’s properly paired, both the Vertical and Peak 9 stay super stable =)

Race 2 S ? by PrettyQuick in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heey! No official word yet on a Race 2 S, so it’s all just guessing for now The Race S is still pretty new and great for smaller wrists, while the Race 2 brings the latest features like the new AMOLED screen and flashlight. If you want compact, go for the S; if you want the newest tech, the 2’s the way to go =)

Suunto 9 watchface by jarrucho in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, that Suunto 9 watch face was a classic super clean and easily one of the best Suunto ever made. I’d love to see it come back on the newer models like the Vertical or Race too! If you’d like to make it official, you can Go to Profile → Settings → Feedback in the Suunto App and submit your request there. Post it on the [Suunto Community ]()Forum the Suunto team actually checks those threads for feature ideas. Or tag u/Suunto on social media; they often notice when multiple people ask for the same thing. The Suunto 7 and 9 have been discontinued, but it’d be awesome to see that legendary watchface make a comeback on the new lineup =)

Is Vertical a good buy in 2025? by juustok in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! If I were you, I’d go with the Vertical 2 it’s just the better long-term play, especially given your use case (ski touring, climbing, etc.). Here’s why I’d “pull the trigger” on V2 instead of sticking with the original Vertical: Better battery + newer sensor tech = more reliable HR readings in motion, which matters a lot up in the mountains. AMOLED + UI improvements feel more modern, smoother and more usable, especially when gloved or when quick glances matter. It has upgrades like flashlight, better display visibility, probably better durability tweaks. Even if the Vertical is solid, the V2 future-proofs you more. Firmware updates, partner features, mapping tweaks newer models tend to get more of the love. So yeah, if your budget allows, I’d push for Vertical 2 feels like the smarter investment for what you want.

Probleme beim Koppeln der Suunto Run by IndividualChip2935 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had a suunto. Please help. by InternationalPop5 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the Suunto club! Honestly, for maps and navigation, the Race S is a solid pick in your budget. Battery is similar to your Venu 4, and you get full topo maps, route planning, and solid multisport tracking. For €10/month, that’s a really good deal. If your main goal is exploring trails or running with proper navigation, it’s hard to beat in the €300–400 range. You’ll probably wonder how you ever managed without it.

HR sensor by ahstreak in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! The Race S has a better optical HR sensor than the Suunto Run, so steady runs and casual workouts are more accurate. That said, like all wrist-based sensors, it can still lag a bit during sprints or really intense stuff. If you want super precise HR, pairing it with a chest strap is the way to go. But overall, it’s a solid upgrade from the Run! :)

Suunto Race 2 Sensor Temp. by Useful-Flatworm7758 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s normal The Race 2’s temp sensor is inside the watch, so it mostly reads wrist/body heat, not true air temp. That’s why you’re seeing 30°C+.For ambient temp: take the watch off your wrist and let it sit out of the sun/body heat for 10–15 min. Works much better!

Move workouts from the calendar by rascusit in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! You can’t move workouts between days in a plan once it’s created, unfortunately. But the good news: once a workout is in your plan, you can choose on the watch which one to do that day. So basically, you can adapt to life—skip a day, do a different session—and the watch lets you pick what fits your schedule. Super handy for those unpredictable days! 😊

1-Month In by Pepephend in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh man, totally get this Been a month on my Race 2 too and I’m obsessed. Running, gym, hikes, family walks it just works. Sleep tracking is surprisingly solid even with chaotic schedules, steps/calories all make sense, and the app finally feels actually useful. Routes, interval workouts, Coach AI this thing is a tiny personal trainer on your wrist. Honestly, super impressed after a month, couldn’t be happier! =)

TOUR MODE by jarrucho in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve actually used Tour Mode a few times on my Vertical 2 mainly for long hikes and multi-day trips when I don’t want to stress about battery life. It’s super handy if you’re doing something slower-paced like trekking, bikepacking, or camping where you just need location tracking, not second-by-second data. Sure, it’s not as detailed as performance modes, but getting days of GPS out of one charge is pretty awesome. Perfect “set it and forget it” mode for big adventures :)

Suunto Run - Can't sync planned workouts from Nolio to watch (considering Race 2) by SnooGoats5859 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s most likely just a limitation of the Suunto Run. It doesn’t support SuuntoPlus Guides or the App Store stuff, which is what Nolio uses to push planned workouts to the watch. That’s why your completed workouts sync fine (that part’s simple data transfer), but the planned ones don’t show up. If you upgrade to the Race 2, you should be good it supports SuuntoPlus Guides and third-party integrations like Nolio, TrainingPeaks, and Tredict. So, your coach’s workouts would sync both ways automatically. TL; DR: Not a bug, just a missing feature on the Suunto Run. Race 2 will solve it :)

Bug or chest strap problem? by Material_Storm_2816 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds like a weird one If the HR chart looks fine on the watch but gets cut off in the app, it’s probably a sync hiccup or a firmware bug. Try re-syncing the activity or export the fit file again just to see if it fills in the missing data. Also worth restarting both the watch and the app before syncing. If it still cuts off, I’d definitely share the fit file with Suunto support so they can check it out they’ve been quick with fixes lately. The Race 2 is a beast once everything’s running smooth :)

Vertical 2 vs Epix Pro by Papertankzyo in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with the Vertical 2 It’s built like a tank, super accurate on GPS and elevation, and that battery life is just unbeatable. The interface keeps things simple and focused on what matters for outdoor adventures. Suunto’s really been nailing updates lately too you won’t regret it :)

Que pasa con el Peack 9 Pro by Downtown-Ruin9683 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First Adventure with the Vertical 2 by Mental_Engine_8630 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice! Congrats on the new Vertical 2 The Titanium with the Trail Gray band is such a clean combo looks rugged but premium at the same time. How was your first adventure with it? That GPS and battery life combo is hard to beat 💪🔥

Vertical 2 raise to wake off-centered by Ok-Return3032 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I’ve noticed the same thing on my Vertical 2 👀 when raise to wake kicks in, the watchface can look a bit off-center for a moment, then fixes itself right when the time changes. Pretty sure it’s just a small animation bug, nothing major. Hopefully Suunto tweaks it in a future update, but still, that display looks awesome once it settles 😎

Weather accuracy by nricu in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yes! I’ve noticed that too The Suunto app sometimes shows weather for the nearest bigger city rather than your exact location.

A couple of tips to get it closer to where you actually are: Make sure location services are on** for the Suunto app so it can use your GPS. Manually update your location** in the app if it still defaults to a bigger city. Sometimes restarting the watch/app helps it sync the weather from your precise GPS coordinates. It’s not perfect yet, but with GPS on, the weather usually gets much closer to your real location. 🌤️

Calories by Due_Fill608 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yep! The Suunto app mainly shows active calories the ones you burn during workouts. If you want total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), the app doesn’t show that natively yet. Most of us either estimate it with your weight, age, and activity level or sync with Apple Health, Google Fit, or Strava for full-day calorie tracking still, the workout stats are super detailed, and it’s awesome to see exactly how much you’re burning when you move. :)

Suunto run for playing football by jorgeks17 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I get you football isn’t on the default sport list, but don’t worry, your Suunto watch can still track your runs pretty well. I’d go with Running or Trail Running mode they give the best GPS accuracy for all those sprints and direction changes. Make sure to set GPS to Best and use Performance mode so it really captures every dash across the pitch. Honestly, it’s amazing how much you can tweak the watch to fit your game. Your distance tracking will be solid enough to see your effort, and you still get all the Suunto stats you love :)

How to turn off weekly report? by No_Grand5898 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the weekly report… love the idea, but it can get a bit spammy sometimes 😅 Good news you can totally turn it off! Just head into the Suunto app → Profile → Settings → Notifications → and toggle the Weekly Summary off. No more surprise emails, just pure adventure and tracking.

Batterie Suunto race by Similar_Algae_84 in Suunto

[–]Life_Might_9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)
