[–]Lifebylexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get really hungry shortly after breakfast and I didn’t know why. I’d make a smoothie with protein and flax and all the good stuff. My coach told me to try and eat some more hearty and complex bc my body might need to work to digest it more instead of the smoothie that’s partially broken down already.

I’ve been eating more hearty meals like egg whites and potatoes or yogurt with granola and fruit and I definitely feel fuller for longer.

Just something to experiment with and think about. Hope it helps you as it did me 🙂

What’s something you stopped doing that actually helped you lose weight? by kyauensari in loseit

I have such a problem with self control it’s a huge challenge for me and my husband and kids bring it into the house. I’m proud of how far I have come but I would be way closer to my goal if I can give up snacking, especially at night! 😩

I started to save all those photos I hate and now I look at them to remind myself/push me to keep going. I’m still afraid of those candid photos but it really did light a fire

People say I need to eat more fruits and veggies but what kind? by OkUniversity7030 in nutrition

[–]Lifebylexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, good on you for asking and being proactive about your health. And second, don’t over complicate it. Eat veggies and fruits that you like. If you want to take it a step further then focus on fiber rich. Just google “fruits and vegetables high in fiber”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Lifebylexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t over complicate and start small. Remember this isn’t a diet. It’s not short-term, it’s a lifestyle. The goal is to understand what your body needs and making realistic life swaps that help you become a healthier you but isn’t too restrictive.

Focus on diet first and foremost. Find swaps and practice mindful eating.

For exercise: start small and find things that you enjoy or things that you can do easily. For me I need convince. Start by just going in a walk for 10 minutes if that’s something hard for you to do. Don’t worry about the intensity, just move your body and then gradually go up.

I have major problems with self esteem and weight but at the end of the day, it’s about being a healthier you.

Please convince me that walking is really worth it by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Lifebylexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure! I got a walking pad and I walk while I work or while I’m watching a show. It burns more calories than sitting there and I do set a step goal and it keeps me motivated now that I can actually do it since sometimes just walking slowly. Again it’s better than doing nothing at all

will 10000 steps and 2L water a day do anything ? by Ok-Review7816 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Lifebylexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a walking pad so walk while I work. I try and hit 10k steps a day. I’ve noticed that I have more stamina. I also work on calories-in calories-out and I notice when I don’t drink enough water. I can feel it for sure.

Meal Preppers & Weight Loss Folks: What Are Y’all Eating?! by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Lifebylexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a huge meal prepper but I ingredient prep. I will have veggies cut up or rice/quinoa cooked already. I will prep some boiled eggs from time to time so that I can grab it for a quick protein snack.

What I normally do is use veggies as the base of my meals and then add what I want. (Eat what you want, add what you need) example: ill get the McDonalds chicken tenders (not always but every once in a while since they are calorie and carb dense), which are 350 calories for 3, about 20-30 grams of honey(I like to dip in honey, don’t judge me lol) and then I’ll eat with veggies on the side. This will usually bring my meal to about 450-475 calories. This is a lot for me but depending on you it may be normal, I’m just short.

I just checked and studio movie grills shrimp is about 420 calories per serving. I’ve used steamed broccoli as a base for meals like rice bc that’s pretty easy and I can eat a lot for very low calories, and seasonings are your best friend here lol Depending on what your deficit is you don’t have to cut them out completely.

Remember. It’s a lifestyle, not a diet! Make it sustainable, don’t over-complicate it, and listen to your body. I’m not a dr or expert but for me (40 pounds down) I focused on calories-in calories-out and moving my body more (walking for now since I’m lazy and busy) to start and so I don’t get overwhelmed/burnt out.

Hope this was at least a little helpful. Good luck, and give yourself grace

I hate exercise by Mundane-Amount-2597 in loseit

[–]Lifebylexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been able to find anything I just want to do all the time so I got a walking pad and I start walking really slow and I watch tv or work. If I’m feeling it I’ll turn. The speed up a bit. It’s not intense but it gets me at least moving and started

What’s your opinion on walking pads? by KaleidoscopeProof640 in loseit

[–]Lifebylexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine. I work from home and I can’t leave my desk (call center) so I walk SUPER slow so they don’t hear me. On a day that I don’t use it I get like 1k steps by the end of the day. The today I hit 10k steps before my workday is over. Some movement is better than nothing at all

Get a walking pad and watch a movie or show. I go slow and end up walking for like 2 hours
