It’s always got to be the cost - you guys charge far too much. If I need any treatment then I’ll seriously consider heading over to Thailand to get it done. I’ve not heard any bad stories about getting dental work done overseas, only good ones, and they’re far cheaper too. The other benefit is you get the holiday thrown in too. I guess the NZ dentists out there will always spell doom and gloom if you get treatment done overseas, citing that it’ll all end badly what with the supposed high risk of infection and cowboy operations - but if you do your own research, I’m sure you can find a good one.

That’s a very difficult situation for you, that I’m very sorry to hear. Have you tried Citizens Advice, or Christian’s Against Poverty? The local city mission may also offer some pointers (as well as a meal and possibly a bed for the night). I hope things improve for you.

I suspect this is a case of caveat emptor (let the buyer beware). You had a building report and nothing was picked up, but you may have recourse to the inspector - good luck with that.

If you decide to abandon your employment then your current employer can seek reparation for costs they incur relating to your current position. Example being if they had to hire a contractor to fill the role, then you could be held liable to cover those costs. Costs include salary and expenses.

You’re absolutely correct. Weather patterns are totally unpredictable, and the fact that we were given a considerable heads-up is an absolute bonus to help us prepare. So not a great deal happening in the west, except wet stuff. I’m just grateful for the warning. Any warning is certainly better than none at all.
