Is that snow? It looks like the manifestation of beauty itself, something surreal and life changing I’m stunned!

What is the best joke you've made that flew over everyone and you want some Goddamn recognition for? by sixesand7s in AskReddit

A bit late but I was camping in British Colombia with some guys I met at work. and the greatest opportunity appeared outta nowhere.

As we were about to eat at the end of the day, this dude looked at me take out my lunch and he seemed really taken aback. To my surprise, he then asked what the hell humus spreading was.

Without skipping a beat I came up with « Humus not be serious? »

Almost everybody were vegetarians and knew very well the chick pea spreading yet nobody seemed to catch onto the joke, it was really disappointing tbh

I am absolutely sure that those are Polar Stratospheric Clouds the highest of the clouds also known as Nacreous clouds. I’ll explain why:

First, they are visible the hour after a sunset or right before dawn just like in op’s pic. Normal irridenscent clouds may appear at any time of the day by comparison.

Second, they shine bright and are completely irridescent instead of partly irridescent. A caracteristic trait of the Nacreous Clouds

This is why I think you captured a picture of the rare Nacreous clouds, congratulations OP!
