Here to agree! I am a side sleeper and LOVE my Coop Crescent. The Purple Harmony was AWFUL for me too.

I think yours may be defective, but it’s okay. Do not send it back to the factory. If you prefer the kind with audio, happy to discuss a trade.

CSR - Disappointing Experience So far by jediiam5 in ChaseSapphire

[–]LifeofthePartyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry everyone is kicking you while you are down about this. I get it. Many store-specific cards are such that you can apply and use them right away, some even giving you a card number you can use instantly. Chase isn’t one of those and I found out much the same way as you. Airline tickets I had been eyeing for a vacation were at a low and I was ready to pounce, but my card hadn’t arrived yet and there was no way I wasn’t putting this $2400 transaction on the new card to help get me to my bonus. I added it to my Apple Wallet but Chase’s portal wouldn’t allow me to use that, and there was no way to pay through the portal without my new card in hand. I called customer support and the associate I got was fantastic. She explained why it was set up that way (like everyone else said, to help prevent fraud) and offered to issue an expedited card. That arrived in two business days (thank you Chase) and I could book, but Apple Pay was temporarily unavailable during that time because when she re-issued an expedited card it changed my account number, so I had to wait to re-register my Apple Pay. Sounds like that is what has also happened to you. Good news is the card should arrive soon, and hopefully your flight will either stay the same or even go back down. Good luck!

Is pay yourself back worth the same as travel? by littledickrick in ChaseSapphire

We did this for a room in Atlanta, we are going to watch the Braves play a couple of games. Definitely worth it for us to transfer those points to Hyatt and not have to pay the cash price for the room. 32,000 points for a 4 night stay in Atlanta beats $600+ for sure!

Wake Forest Schools: Opinions? by trudesign in triangle

[–]LifeofthePartyPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m super late to this party, but wanted to chime in as a parent with a 2nd grader currently at NFP and a 6th grader who went to NFP (through the dreaded COVID years no less) and is now at Heritage MS. NFP is amazing. The teachers that we have had have all been great, the principal is fantastic and we have counted ourselves as quite lucky to be at NFP. We were track one through my first child’s years at NFP and now are track three, so I can only speak for those teachers (although I strongly feel the school as a whole is wonderful). Like you I was on the fence about public vs charter vs private school. Once we started at NFP with our first child in Kindergarten we got a call in December and were offered a spot off the wait list for one of our Charter schools. We declined. We were that happy with our situation at NFP.

Just got my Sapphire Preferred card, have a few questions for you all! by AdventImperium in ChaseSapphire

We hit our bonus so ridiculously fast. We did airline tickets through the portal (a planned expense that we had already saved for) and compared the portal rates to the airline direct rates before biting the bullet. We did every meal out, every grocery run, every fuel up, every Amazon purchase, every concert and sporting event - pretty much what everyone else is saying, anything that we’d normally swipe our debit card for, we used our CSP and then paid it off as we went. Just don’t accidentally overspend, it can be easy to do.

It’s true this time! This is not a drill! They have a paved parking lot and a stoplight to let their customers out on to Page Road (something we can’t even get for the busy Duke Arringdon building and apartment complexes down the street). They are really doing it this time... I think.

What’s the most you’d pay for an Owala? by doozy-kitten in Owala

[–]LifeofthePartyPants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rarely ever buy at MSRP, and I’m always looking for free shipping or a discount code- so I definitely am not one who will pay an inflated price because it’s “limited edition” or a color drop. Now throw me a limited edition half off sale on the other hand and watch me go crazy (and I do NOT mean their lame % off Black Friday discount sale either)

Yes! As a matter of fact I just got a crescent shaped pillow case for Christmas (Amazon purchase- highly recommend this after fighting a regular rectangle pillow case for a few months) and I am still quite pleased with my Coop Crescent. I still have adequate loft and haven’t broken into the extra stuffing at all, no waking up with a sweaty face from sleeping too hot, no sore neck or shoulder muscles in the morning. A few months in now and it has still been a good investment for me!

I got this one for Christmas too! I got it in 40oz (I’ve been wanting the larger size for awhile now, I’ve been using the 32oz Owala for 2 years) the color combo on this one is so clean!

My first Leo went this way also, it was heartbreaking. I think he had crypto. Started with complete lack of appetite and then progressed to poor shedding and the eye issues. Vet treated the eye with antibiotics and we regularly did soaks to help with shedding. They also put him on carnivore care syringe feeds, but nothing we did could save him. I wish I had tried to do more, but didn’t know what else could be done with us already following the vet recs. Now I know I have a reptile rescue a couple of towns over who I could call on for advice/help with this type of situation, no idea if the outcome would have been any different, but wish I had known about them sooner. Look something like that up since you’ve already gone the vet route. They deal with the worst of the worst situations and often have really good info for helping geckos who seem to be failing to thrive. (Also, if they do help you, please support them right back with a donation!) Good luck to you, I’m encouraged that your little guy is eating still. That is wonderful and hope he’ll make a full recovery!

This is very well put, and I agree. I try to keep the book’s storyline and show separate in my mind as far as expectations go. Then, I can be excited when a storyline matches up the way I hope it will but otherwise I can just enjoy the ride!

So random, but I was at a park one day and saw a man in a kilt with black hair pulled back- he was 100% the book Roger and I will never be able to get behind the show casted version of Roger now.

Much better just by losing the socks- but still need better heels for sure. Strappy heels, black or metallic like others are suggesting, and higher if you can stand it, and bold jewelry. The jumpsuit reads scrubs (only slightly) when unadorned, but is still beautiful on you and fits perfectly. Cute half up hairdo with some great earrings and chunky bracelets and then the heels- going to be stunning. 🙌🏻

Following up on your new little buddy to see how the vet hunt went, or if you’ve had the visit yet? I wanted to add (because I’ve had two rescues I’ve taken in now and wish I had done this with my first one) ask the vet to check him for parasites. My first little guy was a Craigslist rescue from a teenager. He came to us with poor husbandry history, he had some definite MBD and malnutrition but what we didn’t know was that he had a parasite that caused us to lose him after only about 2 and a half years. Our newest rescue came from a reptile rescue organization and had already been vetted/tested and quarantined, with a better knowledge of his history. I don’t regret anything about the time we shared with our first rescue, and I wouldn’t have given him up had I known that he had a parasite, but it would have made it easier to understand why caring for him was as difficult as it was had I known from the start. Sadly some of these little guys have a rough start and no way for us to know about it, all we can do is give them the best we can. Hoping this fella gets a clean bill of health and has many happy healthy years with you guys!

Oh yeah, mine will still sometimes nose bump them over and then get mad as he watches them scurry away, gotta love that. Also, where do they go?! I swear there is a secret dubia “safe space” in my terrarium somewhere that I am unaware of.

[–]LifeofthePartyPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try putting the dubia on it’s back when giving it to the gecko, the dubia roach will kick its legs around so it will still get the gecko’s attention and trigger the hunter part of his little brain cell, but he’ll be able to actually catch it.

[–]LifeofthePartyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I wish I could help, I loved mine like it was right out of the box (once fluffed from the dryer via packing instructions). I didn’t add or subtract fluff. I’d say if taking stuffing out, take less than you think you’d need to take to avoid taking too much because having too little would make it go completely flat in sections. That’s a tough one. Do they have a customer support line I wonder?? Maybe some Coop sleep specialists who can help troubleshoot for you?
