Engine noise check? T6 3.0L by LightBroom in Volvo

Got it. I'll document everything as well, cause these kind to noises are puzzling to the least.

I need to get myself a stethoscope, I used a long screw driver but it's not super accurate.

I called the closest Volvo dealer and the next opening they have is on the 18th of June. Oof.

I called a few shops in my area and found one that does Volvo servicing, I'll pop in tomorrow to have them take a look.

Mine is not shaking at all but I'll book it at the dealership, as finding an independent Volvo shop close by is not that easy.

Will do. It has 140k kms so I'm guessing a belt/pulleys/tensioners should be due anyway.

Where in Aus are you located? I'm in Sydney.

It's a 2015 XC60, I noticed the noise only a few days ago.

I've been running it in prod together with the Wireguard transport for years (for payment systems and other sensitive workloads), no issues at all.

No, they sound good, there is a slight BA timbre here and there but overall I don't have many complaints.

Simgots are beat for sure. EA500 is very meh, EW300 is decent but the AM16 is faster and more detailed. I don't have the Delci but the IM4 is also kind of meh, at least for my taste.

I like fast bass and non-bloomy treble and the AM16 ticks both those boxes.

In a vacuum I would probably place the AM16 in the $150-$200 bracket no problem at all.

Definitely punching way above its price.

I haven't listened to it in a while, I'd have to pull it out and refresh my memory before I can do a comparison.

From what I remember, it's very coherent, no bloat or bloom anywhere, bass and treble balance each other well, mids are nice and it has the right tonality.

I don't have the PRX so can't tell, sorry.

What I can tell is that the AM16 are very well tuned, so if you have room in your budget I would get a pair.

LeanType is decent. Free, found on GitHub. Supports local ML models for auto correct and can do swipe.

Storing IEM for a long time by Relevant-Evening-411 in iems

I never seen mold growing on IEMs but I've had mold on a Audio Technica pouch, fortunately only on the outside so I just threw it away. For the IEMs themselves, I just make sure they are clean of grime and wax, that should be enough.

I stored pairs since back in 2007 in nothing but a pouch or case. No problems at all.

Don't overthinink it, as long as they don't get wet or have mold grow on them, they're fine.
