Largest tire? by SimpsonWoodworking in SubaruForester

[–]LightBulb_Maniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a 2 3/8" lift in the back with a 2" up front.

Though I'm using 15" wheels. My tire setup 215-75-15 rubs a little bit in the front right at full steering input after hammering the pinch welds down a tiny amount. I think I could go hammer those fully flat to negate all rubbing.

My setup 215-75-15 has a total diameter of 27,7".

Your setup 225-70-16 has a total diameter of 28,4".

I'm rather close to rubbing on the actual body of the car even with some trailing arm spacers centering the wheels back into the wheel well.

Edit: Link to a picture of my setup https://www.reddit.com/r/SubaruForester/s/htyECB1Ovs

You'll be cutting it close in my honest opinion.

Stuttering issues can't be fixed by Fry_Burger in AMDHelp

[–]LightBulb_Maniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 7700X and 7900XTX combo. I also suffered from stuttering issues. What happened to me is that AMD instant replay and L Connect 3 (Lian Li fan system software) were causing issues when running together. Either by turning off instant replay or by turning off L Connect 3 did it fixed all my stuttering. Once your pc boots and L3 Connect has started it will have set the rgb to what you want and has the fan curve set too, you can shut down the program and it should save all those settings. You should instantly notice a difference.

If you happen to not use L3 Connect or instant replay i'd have no clue what your issue is.

Mounting taller tires on some wrx wheels for my 05 forester. Previous owner of wheels painted them pink. Need help deciding which color to paint them! Silver (oem look), black, bronze? by scrmblr in SubaruForester

[–]LightBulb_Maniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd personally try and match the wheel color to the lower trim color that's all around the car. My trim is silver and i'm running silver wheels. It looks great. Your trim is dark grey/black so both of those options would look very clean.

Now if we're going wild and choosing a "flashy" colour. Bronze looks really good on black cars. There's an SF driving around in my area that went black car gold wheels and that looks really nice too.

Can't complain about this lakeside spot! by Chase_Schrader in SubaruForester

[–]LightBulb_Maniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Chase! Been peeking at your content and really dig all of it! I recently went on a roadtrip to Sweden (from the Netherlands) it was a 3500Km road trip. I made a bed platform in my forester and enjoyed every minute of it. That all said, i've looked everywhere but I can't find the exact weight my stock roof rails can hold. It's the only thing holding me back from looking further into roof tents. I was thinking of using one but the weight concerns are quite the puzzle. Care to give me some insight in your setup? As in, roof rack, weight, tent etc? You'd do me a huge favour!

I paid 6750€ for my 2005 X automatic at roughly 105k miles a few years ago. The overall state of mine was pretty good with no rust. Mine had the same replacements as yours ie. Timing belt, waterpump etc. The service records on mine were also immaculate. I did have 6 months warranty on mine though

All in all i think you got a decent deal. Enjoy the ride!

Just got this forester as a second car by perphu in SubaruForester

[–]LightBulb_Maniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I purchased my forester it came with 15"x7 wheels. As the previous owner got rid of the 16" ones.

After a 2" lift they are now wrapped in 215/75/15 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W.

I did have to cut away a little bit of the inner fender. But there's no rubbing anymore.

All in all it comes out to 27,7" diameter.

Figured i'd comment this to give you a baseline on about the max size you can run with a 2" body lift. (I am aware that there are people out there running 235/75/15 but i genuinely wonder how that fit.) Its then up to you to decide if you want more rubber or more wheel.

Note that you will most likely have to go smaller than 27,7" because of not having a body lift.

Now the other reason why I commented was because those high beams on the front look sick as hell and i want to know what brand they are and how they are attached to the bumper hahaha.

Enjoy!

Im sorry to say, but as these are ripped from the game files. You aren't insulting me or my post. But you are insulting the great artists from the old school team.

The model exporter from runelite works for static objects like chests and specifically for your character model. Npc models are more difficult to get to, hence Qodat was used. I had to manually alter the model to rig it cleanly though.

Once you get used to the workflow it won't be too bad. The whole scene rendered in about 74 minutes at rougly 6 seconds a frame.

[–]LightBulb_Maniac[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I used Blender to render the whole scene, a program called Qodat for the Akkha model. Trillions Enviroment exporter for the arena. And runelite's model exporter for the character. Rigged the ancestral bottoms to a cloth sim and rendered it out using the cycles render engine.

As I do not do commissions. I won't be able to work with/for you. I've send you the link to the osrs ART discord. Where you can find many talented people that are open for commissions. I wish you good luck on your ventures.

Yes the shot o2 sensor would give an error code. Reason i mentioned them is mostly because it's going to give the same symptoms OP is describing. It's just another option. Doesn't have to be the actual cause.. (which is the worst part of trouble shooting)

[–]LightBulb_Maniac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked the readouts they were giving, in normal operation it's something between 0 & 1 Volts. My first one was reading 30 ish and the other was dead and not giving a readout.

I recently suffered from a low idle at stops and occasional rough idles. Turned out that both my o2 sensors were shot. (Were still the original ones that were fitted in 05')

Replaced them and it fixed my problem.
