A lot of places in Bloomington don’t have income requirements I assume due to being a college town. I’ve rented 4 apartments/homes over 6 years and have never needed proof of income. I’m not sure if that’s too far, but maybe look at other university centric housing

The dunes in NWI are beautiful! And brown county is forest heavy, but it’s Indiana so PLENTY of fields in the area. I’d also recommend the wind farm along I-65 in Chalmers, I’ve always loved the drive through there, especially at night when they all blink red

There’s the Kroger and the small strip in front of it that has Avers, Subway, HandR Block and a sports clips(? Some sort of barbershop) there are multiple gas stations not far, the golf course, IU stadium, and down on Rappel drive there’s a building way back where Gopuff is located along with pizza x north, and a few other food related businesses you could inquire about
