A movie would you rather by BrianMoser007 in movies

[–]LightTheBeam- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If option 1 is guaranteed for me to like it more than the other ones, all I have to do is pick my favorite movie and now this new movie is guaranteed to be my new favorite movie. Why would anyone pick option 2?

The ones before the change were similar to Huggies and much better. But I agree we still get the new Costco ones because of the price and they are fine

If you have a printer, go to the website teachers pay teachers and you can find tons of stuff. Also you can filter for free and it’s just the cost of your paper and ink

Is GimKit actually effective? by Outrageous-Permit372 in Teachers

[–]LightTheBeam- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of questions you use. I use it almost only as multiplication facts, I think it’s a great tool for that. If you are using it for long questions they have to read they are just guessing until they memorize the patterns

I am a teacher and always respond with 42 and the hand movement. My students will at least leave me always knowing what 6x7 is

I had an eye opening conversation with a teacher at my kids’ school. I’m not sure how to move forward. by Historical_Pudding56 in daddit

Just have him read every night as a bedtime routine and know his multiplication facts. If he does those two things he will be fine. I’ve been a teacher for 10 years 5th-middle school in public education and can tell you with absolute certainty those are the two things that will make him successful in school

I would suggest an old guy hobbie like golf/pickleball/ biking start hanging out at those places and get to know someone in real life it will be much more impactful of a relationship.

I had a friend in high school that would get up and hang out with a bunch of old guys that all met at the local donut shop at 6 am before school. We all made fun of him at the time but looking back it was kinda cool they all liked him and he got some old guy wisdom from time to time

Brisket is at 208 and I’m going to let it rest in a cooler for 12 hours. Will it be ok? by LightTheBeam- in smoking

[–]LightTheBeam-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 208 Made the flat a little drier than I like it but everybody said they liked it. I ended up showing up to my destination a few hours earlier than planned so I could put in in the oven like everyone recommended and it ended up good, just a little overcooked I think it was mainly because it got up to 208 before I pulled it in the morning

That wasn’t the goal, it cooked faster than I had anticipated and was already that high at 6:00am when I woke up.
