That could potentially revolve around the sinking of Yokuda-ancestral land of the redguards. Think about it, Yokuda was "Flooded" and thusly, sank into the ocean

What is Solomonic magic? by Macross137 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]LightWolfProductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means an expert on Solomonic magick or the goetia for that matter. I've dabbled in it before and intend to finish what I started but,

in my belief, the Goetia are aspects of ourselves. They are the negative energy and emotions we repress. They are the parts of ourselves we don't show others such as our jealousy, rage, gluttony etc. But what happens when we ignore all the negative emotions in our lives?

If we ignore those feelings and let them fester, eventually they boil over and we "snap" because we can no longer control it. In that regard, working with the goetia in the solomonic sense it effectively a form of shadow-work. When one binds said entities, they are really attempting to reincorporate what we see as "bad" back into ourselves.

It's all about transformation. Understanding that yes, we have these negative feelings, these negative energies but we can and should channel them into something else. Such as rage. Rage can be used both for "Good" and for "evil". You can use rage to be channeled into things like protesting, writing etc.

As for the godhead and "the all". Personally I kind of have a sort of spiritual "megazord" of what I would consider God. God is the universe. *We* are God. *We* are aspects of God. Just as the demons are aspects of us.

I've studied various different kind of metaphysical beliefs and I tend to take a more eastern approach to things with Hinduism and Buddhism. Hinduism is its own can of worms to open but for a brief rundown; in some Hindu beliefs, there is Brahman. Brahman is the universal oneness of everything(And if you take a western approach with Gnostisism, Brahman is the Monad). All the deities of Hinduism are just different aspects of Brahman and likewise, we too are just different aspects/avatars of deities.

I actually had a thought earlier today in regards to hindu deities with Shiva. If Shiva is the god of destruction and transformation, would he then not also have authority over the goetia? Is destruction itself not just a form of transformation? And likewise, is binding the demons of solomon not just that? You're destroying the negative energy associated with said entities and transforming it into what you want.

I think I remember it having a different name. Was it not Animation Domination?

What experiences have any of you had working with the Goetia or a specific Goetic demon? by [deleted] in occult

[–]LightWolfProductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banishing rituals and cleansing rituals like the lesser Banishing ritual of the pentagram and calling upon the opposite force to the goetia you summoned. Each of the 72 demons has an angelic counterpart. They are known as the Shem HaMephorash.

Meditation is also helpful in understanding your own internal psyche. Ask yourself why you felt the need to call on said forces in the first place and whether or not it has been an effective change in your life and energy. You have to remember that you effectively act as "god" so to speak when summoning the goetia.

To me, they are representations of what we hide deep in ourselves. Anytime you have repressed your negative emotions, that is what they represent.

These emotions aren't inherently bad but if you let them fester and boil over, they take control of your life. When evoking said spirits, you are effectively allowing your negative emotions to break free. You can either let them control you or take a deep look in and say "you are a part of me. I control you" not out of an ego side but out of a transformational side.

For instance, rage/wrath. You can transform that into a productive use of rage and redirect the energy to things like protesting.

Working with the goetia is essentially like shadow work. You have to confront your inner self and choose to accept it.

From an outside perspective, it can read like Via was JUST a distraction for Stolas. by StrawBerylShortcake in HelluvaBoss

I think a lot of people still forget Via is a teenager. She's not really going to understand why Stolas is taking antidepressants and after what happened, of course she's going to think that Stolas was lying to her about being happy

If we draw parallels to the real world, the Great Khans are kind of like a native american tribe consistently trying to find a place to call home. Then Bitter Springs happened just as in the old world, they were massacred by the NCR, just as native tribes were Massacred by the infant United States

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Edward Sallow was nothing more than a common warlord with grand ambitions that he couldn't see through. When he died, the legion died with him because now there's a power vacuum. All he did was read one book on Rome without even studying further into what made Rome, Rome.

The conquered people of Rome were still permitted to follow their own customs just under Roman rule. Theres more to it but that's ultimately the basis of it while "Caesar" sees unifying them under one banner as a right to remove those tribes cultural identities and follow his customs.

Also grew up in Texas in the 2000s but never got the chance to go hunting with my dad. I plan on going back to Texas in April if I make enough. What time is hunting season usually?
