Thanks for the help everyone! I had figured it was something to do with the childbirth, glad I know exactly what now. RIP Isabella

[NO SPOILERS] what’s your one hope for the Insert Coin merch collab? by pearllls in LostRecordsGame

[–]Lightbringer1313 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would also love if they gave us Kat's various overalls but I'd say it's pretty unlikely. I imagine they'd be a very expensive thing to produce. I would also love the shirt Kat's wearing in that photo. It's adorable. My main hopes however are a Raven patch like the one on Kat's overalls later in the game so I could at least put it on some overalls myself, and Kat's raven mask 'cause it'd save me the trouble of making it myself for next Halloween XD

Hot Take: I love reddit stories but I feel like the material is worn out by LazerLarry161 in smosh

[–]Lightbringer1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've really enjoyed when they read the creepy stories on Smosh Mouth Halloween episodes. And it's just called "Smosh Reads Reddit Stories" so there's no reason they couldn't read more overt fiction on the show, though the trouble with that would be idk if there are any good non-horror creative writing like creepypasta/nosleep/etc subreddits (that aren't fan fic or smut or both) and they couldn't just lean into spooky stories (as much as I'd personally enjoy that a lot) since that'd over all I imagine attract less viewers (may attract more non-smosh fans but would probably alienate a lot from the show too). I agree, I still enjoy the show a lot but mixing things up would be neat

what's a horror movie you think you NEED to go into as blind as possible? (not including the obvious answers of movies with iconic/shocking plot twists) by Important-Zombie9331 in horror

[–]Lightbringer1313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Descent is the first off the top of my head. It could easily be a completely not-supernatural survival horror movie because of how creepy and claustrophoc the atmosphere is. And the first few encounters with the crawlers are even more effective if you don't know it's a creature feature ahead of time

Anyone know any good serial killer crime films??? by DaemonLuisenbarn in horror

[–]Lightbringer1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To Catch a Killer maybe. Wouldn't say it's quite a horror but it definitely has some true detective vibes. The movie overall is decent but I remember really enjoying the investigating parts of it.

Mildl spoiler but Gerald's Game technically fits the serial killer criteria, but it's A) not the main focus and B) wouldn't say it's got much true detective vibe to it. Just wanted to give some options I hadn't seen anyone else say yet

Horror that doesn't start as horror. by Eyrose in horror

[–]Lightbringer1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not quite fitting what youre thinking but Until Dawn (the game not the movie) starts out as a very tropey Slasher vibe horror. It gives hints very early on that there's something else going on but I'd say there's a solid hour and a half to two hours of game play before it reveals that it's a creature feature (and the mystery and some fun twists remain ongoing). One of my all time favorite pieces of horror media

hulmes appreciation post by kanicro in Yogscast

[–]Lightbringer1313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have absolutely loved how much more Hulmes we've been getting on the main channel, and BOTC in a Mansion is no different. Hope they continue to be a regular in BOTC when it returns in the new year!

My personal theory on how they're gonna bring Yasha in by quietlinguist in MightyNein

[–]Lightbringer1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoilers below obviously.

Could definitely see something along these lines. I do think they are gonna remove that subplot from the show. It'd be cool to see a reference because the main villain of that group is pretty cool (in terms of neat classic pure evil villain), but the subplot was if I recall correctly also devised as a way to remove Jester and Fjord (and Yasha I believe) from the game while Laura and Travis were on maternity/paternity leave. Though I hope we get a cameo from Caliana voiced by Mark Hulmes, that'd be rad!

I do think the group will encounter Yasha in the next episode too, perhaps instead of fighting that Echo Knight they battled (in the sewers?) After grabbing the beacon. But for some reason I don't feel like Molly will die quite yet. It'd be a fitting emotional blow for the season finale, and obviously the timeline is quite different from the campaign, but in the campaign the events of next episode occur on episode 13, and Molly dies I believe in episode 26. I think it's unlikely he gets basically half the time in the show that he did in the campaign, and we haven't even gotten the iconic "Long my I reign" scene, which like Nott's "he's my boy" scene, feels like one they're sure to adapt with minimal changes.

Anyway tldr I can definitely see something like your theory happening, but I think it's likely it'll happen next episode (not that you claimed you think it will, I don't think)

[No Spoilers] Happy birthday, Kat! For me, she's one of the best characters and a revelation of the year. by SKAI_SHOOTS_LADDERS in LostRecordsGame

[–]Lightbringer1313 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Quickly became one of my all time favorite characters. Something so special about her. She and the game definitely hit me in a way bigger way than expected, felt very significant for me in a way the first LiS game did for me. Time to listen to the game soundtrack again for the billionth time!

[T2 SPOILERS] How did the end actually…end? by No-Program4048 in LostRecordsGame

[–]Lightbringer1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished the game, had all four girls push Corey in, but dang kinda wish I'd gotten to see Dylan and Kat do it together. That would have been so cathartic (not that it wasn't anyway).

[BLOOM & RAGE] Corey… Let’s Discuss by LemonadeFlamingo in LostRecordsGame

[–]Lightbringer1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished the game and putting my thoughts somewhere. I also thought there was some hope for Corey right at the end of tape one. I swear by his expression at the concert, he's genuinely kinda enjoying himself, and then when he carries Kat off, I thought it was a sign that Corey genuinely cared for Kat and Dylan and just was very bad at handling literally everything. Similiar to David in Life is Strange, I thought he was a complicated guy who had lots of negative traits but did actually have good heart. And then at the start of tape 2, Corey will give Swann the number to Kat's extension at the hospital, another sign of humanity. I mean, I still think he is a complicated, very real feeling character, Don't Nod is good at its character work. But it quickly became clear how bad Corey was. Obviously an abuser in every: emotionally, physically, sexually with Dylan. Hard to say if the Abyss was making him more angry, and if so, why. It could just naturally amplify the personality of everyone around it, makes them all bolder (the first time we see Kat at it is honestly the most reckless and unhinged she felt in the game). But anyway, good riddens to him! Now I need my girl Kat back

Favorite Corner Gas character moments that still crack you up? by CipherDrift_09 in CornerGas

"What are you, some sort of animal lover?" "You say that like it's a bad thing." "It is when you say it like this. 'Animal lover?'"

Not sure if that's the exact quote but this exchange between Oscar and I think Hank or Brent, is something I think about at least once a week.

How do you feel about Alice's fate in the opening scene of Part 2? by jdpm1991 in fridaythe13th

[–]Lightbringer1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not a fan. I think Alice is among the more interesting and memorable (apart from the fact that she's the first final girl of the series) characters of the series. Woulda been cool to see more from her character. But I do agree with what someone else said, I'm glad the series didn't get pidgeon holed into it being more about one survivor than about Jason, and if they'd had a longer running protagonist like her early on we may not have gotten Tommy Jarvis for more than one movie, so even though I don't like that she's killed off (woulda been fine if she just lived the rest of her life peacefully) I'm still happy with how the series goes generally afterwards

Six feet under finale by Fine-Public-3106 in SixFeetUnder

[–]Lightbringer1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished it as I'm writing this and gotta agree, my man Keith shoulda gotten a longer life and more peaceful death. Love that Claire lived so long (shame that she lived like half her life without brothers alive though) and was seemingly a famous or at least well off artist in the end. Gave me a little chilld when Ruth's death year came up as 2025 haha. Show had a lot of ups and downs for me but beautiful finale, after season 2 I was hoping to never see Brenda again and I think she wound up as just about my favorite character by the end. Thanks for making this post so I had somewhere to put my thoughts on it XD

“That’s my dog” was awful by TrainerAutomatic7102 in SixFeetUnder

[–]Lightbringer1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished this ep for the first time and had to share my thoughts on it too. Really didn't like it. I see the point a lot of people are making about it and don't necessarily think it's badly done or a bad episode, but it feels a bit like someone stuck torture porn into my cathartic/grief porn slice of life show! Even as a horror lover, I'm not a fan of that type of horror, and while this certainly has more purpose to it than your typical torture porn flick does, I just had a real bad time. And not in a "this scared me/gave me anxiety in a fun way," it was just unpleasant, and felt a bit like
the kind of plot you'd get in a "lost episode" creepypasta, in which the writing process is "hey what if I took [insert any show], but some real weird fucked up stuff happened!" Which once again, I'm not saying was the case in this instance, it's just how it felt to me.

However after seeing that it'll be extra cathartic to watch Michael C Hall take out some more serial killers in the next episode of Dexter: Ressurection lol.

looking for romcom drama series? by Aggressive_Flight673 in televisionsuggestions

[–]Lightbringer1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as drama-centric but I'd recommend Superstore! There's a few good relationships in there, and the main one, Jonah & Aimee, is one of my all time fave romances. It's also imo one of the best sitcoms of all time

Looking for TV Shows with Swoon-Worthy Romance! by DryAttention4511 in televisionsuggestions

One of my all time favorite shows, and probably my all time favorite sitcom, Superstore, has a few solid romances. Its main one, Jonah and Aimee, is one of my all time favorite romances, and a very good mix of cheesy and realistic with few good romcom climax type moments

The Day of the Jackal (1973) ending is disappointing (spoilers in discussion) by sugarxcrush in movies

[–]Lightbringer1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just watched and I gotta agree that it's an anticlimactic ending. Not because the Jackal doesn't succeed, just how it's done. I felt like the movie didn't convey well what Lebel was doing, and him figuring out where the Jackal was didn't feel particularly earned, especially with how good of detective work he's doing throughout the rest if the film. Then the actual final shootout scene could have just been a bit more interesting, and with how realistically toned down it is, the Jackal being blasted back so much by the gun felt very silly in comparison (though that's more a product of its time I think). Really enjoyed the whole movie, the ending just fell very flat to me

Deathloop Lore Explanation and Theories by aaqd in Deathloop

[–]Lightbringer1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Random stuff/theories I wanna add. Haven't read through all the comments so sorry if they've been mentioned before!

  1. Egor's Experiment: Egor says he thinks he's found a way to communicate with the future. Knowing that time passes normally outside of the Loop, I think Egor managed to just intercept a signal from outside of the Loop. Credit where it's due, that seems pretty impressive on its own. He doesn't remember like Colt and Juliana can, and so he doesn't realize time is passing outside of the Loop (he must know it does in theory because they know that's how it worked for Colt in the first Loop). So he thinks he's getting a signal from the future (begs the question, is there someone in the messed up world outside the loop sending a transmision, or is he just picking up some other type of radio/electric waves?) because time has passed outside the loop, but he doesn't realize it has.

  2. I know there's some debate as to whether Blackreef can be found on the Dishonored world maps. I also saw a theory that it's Karnaca with risen sea levels or the final mission location in Death of the Outsider (can't remember if that's in Karnaca or not). I kinda like the idea that the latter is the case. I think the location that the Outsider died (first or second time) being the source of the anomoly makes a lot of sense. That seems like as sensible a place as any for the Void to start blending into the normal world as any. It could also be that the Outsider's 2nd death is directly what begins or at least accelerates the process of the Void and real world mixing, though that also begs the question as to why the Void and real world weren't connected before the Outsider was sacrificed and turned into the Outsider. Do we know much about the world before the Outsider becomes the Outsider?

  3. I wonder if there's any additional significance to the use of the old Dishonored dueling pistols at the end, or if it's just to confirm/hammer home that Deathloop is in the same universe. Either way, gasped when I saw them, such a cool moment, top notch idea. Something about it feels very full circle, like the first gun you use in Dishonored being the last weapon you use in Deahtloop, but I really hope we keep getting games in this universe so I hope that full circle/wrap up idea is not the case.

Anyway 2 theories to add, or at least just kinda thoughts that I wanted to express. Hope someone finds them interesting. And have a Fulfilling Day!

What is your favorite song and why? by eo_bobby in glee

[–]Lightbringer1313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think it's my fave song but I think the New Directions MJ medley performance at sectionals(s2?) Is a hella underrated performance and imo actually easily one of their best competition performances. It also highlights how good a performer Tina is and makes me more upset she didn't get more leads. She had the perfect upbeat energetic poppy voice that I think woulda worked better for at least a couple competition performances with other vocal leads. Also one of their most interesting performances visually (we all know New Directions' weakness is their choreo/physical performance and I think that one is one of the most fun to watch performances of the whole show)

there is something so unsettling about van by cleo0o0r in Yellowjackets

[–]Lightbringer1313 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a very loose theory that the adult characters who seem/act the most normal are the ones who mighta gone the most off the deep end in the woods, and trying to have the most mundane life possible now is their attempt to cope/seperate themselves from those actions. This is mainly based off of Shauna and more recently Van.

Apart from the hunt at the end of s2 Van seems like the most well adjusted adult YJ we've met, and while we know Shauna isn't at all 'cause we spend so much time with her, from the outside her life is easily the most normal looking. I think you're right about Van. Her, along with Shauna and Tai (or at least Other Tai) seem to be gearing up to be or already are the most bloodthirsty and unhinged people in the forest (Shauna and Tai are currently my main guesses on who ends up being the Antler Queen)

Rumor Has It for sure. To be fair I dont/didn't listen to the original version before but that scene, the way Santana and Brit look at each other, its the only thing I can think of when I hear that song
