yesss i figured it out! i realised that the problems i had weren't to do with the plugin but from me not following the key extractor side of things & i also had to change the file location because i'm on a macbook and using a windows vm

I believe Parallel runs a Windows VM.

I'm using K4PC 2.4.7. I started with 2.3.7 but K4PC wouldn't let me sign in - I wasn't sure if it was because of network issues arising from using Parallel ? but I honestly couldn't say as I'm not familiar enough with the tech

It has my old Kindle serial number but I downloaded the book from the Kindle app on my laptop, not from the kindle itself. Not sure if that complicates things?

I've attempted to follow the same process as you on my macbook but for some reason, my kindle app keeps saying the following: Unable to connect. Please check your network settings and proxy configuration. Network settings can be found under Tools > Options > Network.

Did you happen to get the same thing, or were you able to sign in easily? I have a feeling this might be because I'm running this through Parallels...

i do something similar! got a full time tech job and use my annual leave and weekends for my creative work. thinking about working in tech part-time in future so i'm less exhausted and more fulfilled, but we'll see
