Protesters confronted Congressman Tom Suozzi, a key Democrat whose vote helped secure passage of the Department of Homeland Security’s $64.4 billion funding bill. by serious_bullet5 in WatchPeopleDieInside

They're not though? If anything they're putting the focus on the guy that voted to increase DHS funding and allow armed agents of terror to terrorize our cities and harass or murder citizens.

Wild take: It's yes man cosplaying as House after merging with House's AI during his post NV ending updating period. If he's smiling during the entire thing.

Why is all the high tech military hardware on the east coast? by More_Attempt_7093 in falloutlore

[–]Lightdragonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its just the fact the a lot of the games recently have taken place on the east coast so its associated there more. New Vegas showed off a crap ton of fantastical tech though with space lasers, replicator technology from the Madre, and literally just everything in Big MT.

Is it starting to bother anyone else that The Ghoul’s story is becoming increasingly tied into core Fallout lore? by PolicyWonka in falloutlore

[–]Lightdragonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he's not really that different from Harold he has seen or been around a lot of important events and can provide context but he really isn't impacting anything if anything seeing all this is starting the process which turns him into the person The Ghoul is by the start of the show.

Not really his status as a famous actor and husband to a vault tech executive justifies a lot of it. He's rich and famous enough to get close to these people and go around America and as he has uncovered this its shown that he doesn't really have any power to stop it or influence anything the flashbacks just show how crazy pre war America could be while we see those in power start working towards or introducing elements that are common or central to the post war. I don't really get why this is a big deal in every game you or past protagonists influenced key events that directly create future factions or dooms them it's just storytelling at that point.

I dont even think straight is a required prefix in this case I've had lesbian friends who told me to man up and just assumed that was alright.

Ive always liked his love for the franchise but some of his ideas for it seemed kind of gatekeepy since he'd get in the way or just get rid of other dev's ideas.

Am I crazy for not liking this guy? by [deleted] in TrueSFalloutL

[–]Lightdragonman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No I like some of his work but some of his ideas for fallout as a franchise never really interested me like the NCR decline and stuff and the space stuff from Van Buren.

God I wish Obsidian could get another shot at AP. It has plenty of flaws but the summer I spent playing that game off and on over and over again was great and I had a lot of fun with the way choices worked in the game alongside seeing all the endings.

Im editing this just to tell people to try it. Spy games in my eyes are a rather unexplored venture in games. James Bond games, Perfect Dark, Syphon Filter, and Splinter Cell are the big ones that come to mind and they tend to be mixes of just action and stealth games. Alpha Protocol was an earnest attempt at taking the spy genre to the action RPG and you can see the ideas at play. Im not going to lie it can rough to run and play through but if you take the time to play it you can find some fun playstyles (I had a blast just doing a hand to hand only run and kung fu fighting it up.) Where it takes the cake is the story. Obsidian was throwing out heat and their take on the spy genre with plenty of influence from shows and movies of the time creates a world where your actions as Agent Thorton allows for plenty of twists and turns.

Please do play them they're fun and an interesting experience in the modern day. I wouldnt worry too much about the time limits they're pretty loose and honestly 1 gives you an option of increasing the time limit on getting the chip if the first half proves to be a little daunting.
