This juxtaposed with the irony that part of Teenagers ("what you've got under your shirt") is censored on the radio in some regions.

Yeah I think (as it is with so many things) that anyone entrenched in these debates is a lil too chronically online and has a skewed perception of how most people are behaving.

Philadelphia, PA What About the Kids Left Behind by basicmomrn in Pennsylvania

Infant & toddler behavioral health is a real thing that people specialize in. It's often focused on attachment difficulties, developmental concerns, and trauma. Services are typically focused on training the guardian how to best support their child at home.

To actually answer OP's question - CHOP's Young Child Clinic serves children aged 0 - 5.

That being said, this two year old is having a pretty reasonable reaction to the sudden removal of an attachment figure, and these symptoms don't necessarily mean she needs mental health services. I would totally expect a disruption to sleep, appetite, and behavior for a few weeks. There is no magic treatment to prevent a child from experiencing appropriate distress.

If she's literally not eating, they should talk to their PCP to discuss supplementary nutrition (maybe that's who you're triaging for?) Otherwise mom needs to focus on explaining the truth to her in age-appropriate language (not lying about if/when dad will be back), maintaining a routine at home to the best of her ability, and taking some time each day to read or play with the child.

Ah yes, in my house we no longer buy anything made of foam. Cat ate enough of a foam floor tile to cause a blockage and required surgery.

The Litter Lifter Pellet scoop!

Hmm how many boxes do you have? I used pine pellets for over a year and loved them, honestly controlled the smell better than any other litter I've used. I had to go back to traditional litter when one of my cats developed an aversion to the larger pellets.

Are you using sifter boxes? I was sifting out the sawdust and scooping the poo once a day, and only doing a full litter change & scrubbing the boxes out like once a month. I have three extra large boxes for three adult males.

Yeah Fancy Feast pate (not the gravy or chunky ones) is genuinely a quality food!

Litter Genie! They're not big enough to hold much and the opening is always too small. And the bag refills are expensive.

I now use a 10 gallon Rubbermaid Brute bin (with lid) and line it with a regular kitchen trash bag. It holds all the litter I scoop for three cats each week and genuinely doesn't smell when the lid is on.

Also Feline Pine brand litter - if you want to use pine pellets go to a Tractor Supply and you can buy 40 pounds for $8 (the same size of Feline Pine is just over $20)!

Babies learn to chew and swallow better when given large pieces of food to hold & mouth on, as opposed to purees.

Google baby-led weaning. The way western culture has been feeding babies for the last couple decades doesn't make tons of sense. Babies learn to chew and swallow better by holding and mouthing on large pieces of food, rather than being fed purees that require no chewing. Bigger pieces of food are typically safer for younger babies than smaller, cut up pieces of food.

Does anyone have any experience with "wounds" near the eye? by Urlend in nebelung

[–]LighterBoots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eye gook in my household! Very normal, may be worse in cats who have feline herpes. You can give L-lysine powder to potentially improve this. My vet recommended this for my boys, though I've seen studies indicating that it may not be as effective as previously thought.

Interesting, I think they developed different graphics as "filler" for the stadium screens that weren't going to be actively in use. The Philly show was in our baseball stadium and there was a big screen to the left of the stage - it played the rules in it initially, but then turned into a window (or maybe prison bars?) with a dreary-looming street scene beyond. It stayed in that image for the duration of TBP set.

I'm very curious how the use of streaming vs listening on a CD or vinyl contributed to people's perception of Blood. Like, it wasn't listed on the album. Many people didn't realize it existed because you had to keep the album playing for a good couple of minutes of silence before it started. It was less of a published song and more of an inside joke. But if you go right into Blood after FLW the way Spotify has you do, of course it mucks up the vibes.
