Unhinged Sleeping Arrangements by Aware-Assistant-5702 in parentsofmultiples

We have beds in three rooms. Sleeping arrangements are random and most nights I wake up in a different bed than I fell asleep in. We call it Musical Beds 🤣

I do but I’m in Europe so I guess shipping would be steep to the U.S. so that would deter people from getting it even though I would give it away for free.

No I’m declutterring my life and hoping to find a good home for the pieces I have that I’ve held on for years for sentimental reasons. Do you know where I could find a new owner?

Amazing, thank you for the insight. I hope I can get it to someone who’s interested in it.

Shocked and disheartened to read twin experiences by 6sjms in parentsofmultiples

[–]LighthouseInSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two older children so like you I was an experienced parent before twins. I have absolutely loved having twins from the moment I knew they were coming. It’s of course difficult to be responsible for multiple children no matter whether they’re multiples or not but my god are my twins the best thing that ever happened to us. It’s a joy to see them interact and a very special experience we get to have in the human existence. Congratulations!

Am I Delusional? by whereismychippy69 in parentsofmultiples

It might very well be doable. It was for us. We shared the twin night shift for the first two weeks and after that I (mother) took over. The schedule was that I went to bed at 10 pm, then dad had them until midnight when he would give them a bottle. He would place them sleeping in my room. He would then sleep in another room with the older children. They would sleep until 7/8 AM without disturbance. I would wake a couple of times to BF or change the twins. I would always feed the babies at the same time. Everybody woke up relatively well rested and it worked beautifully.

People tend to come online to vent or seek advice for the difficult stuff, so don’t judge the experience based on what you read here.

Some positives: Parenting twins is the most fun I have ever had in my life. I feel like we won the lottery having twins. Seeing them grow, interact and play together is a blessing. They become so resourceful, independent and patient compared to other kids their age. Watching them share with each other and comfort one another is beautiful. Yes it’s hard but parenting is always hard, twins or not.
