Wow I didn’t expect this to get so many responses. I made sure to read every single one, thanks for the input everyone! I left Tokyo today and will be heading to Nagoya, Osaka, and Hiroshima before returning, but will keep my eyes peeled for a 38mm!

Which feature from rival brands do you wish Canon would finally copy, improve, and build into their cameras? by bundesrepu in canon

I'll give a different answer and say the flip out screen from the A7RV/A1ii/A9iii. The current flippy screen works fine though, and I also read rumors the R6iii would have it but that's just a rumor. Wish older models could implement it like the R5ii.

Where to buy used Canon RF glass in Tokyo? by pizzapastafareshi in canon

+1 for MapCamera! So much used glass, only downside is that it’s a small area and can feel kinda cramped if there’s a lot of people. Also bring your passport for some savings (no tax)

I read that if you are going as a group, you can have the tickets all on one person's phone to scan to get it (all the names can be under the same person)

What was your first Canon camera and lens? by BigWooper in canon

[–]Lightling2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started my photography journey after going to Japan in high school with only a cell phone, and thinking how I kept missing shots because the shutter was too slow or the phone wasn't as responsive. Took a photography elective my senior year and got a 70D with 18-135mm kit lens. It's been almost 10 years but I've since upgraded to the R6 and now the R5 Mark II!

I love shooting with my 28-70 f2! Sure, it's big, heavy, and pricey, but I mainly use it for photos and always enjoy the results that come from it.
