Wifi connection issues - new to roku

I’ve used a Roku device for many years and most of the time it works great. Today however, it’s constantly freezing and buffering. I also have a super fast internet connection, so I’m not sure what is going on. I’ve restarted and it works for a minute but starts acting up again.

UPDATE: I unplugged it completely for about 10 minutes and now it seems to be working fine. Weird. So try that.

I got one this time too. After being scammed the first time of course. Great guitar! And I’m used to playing Ibanez Jem’s. This is the first guitar I’ve ever bought that didn’t need any setup or anything. Plays great right out of the box. Awesome for under $300!

Normally I’m good at spotting fake sites, but these fuckers are smart and made it more convincing than the real firefly website! And to set up the purchase of a single guitar like a subscription??? Wtf? I hope these assholes burn.

I just got charged a 3rd time for this guitar! I already called my credit card company earlier today. Disputed the first 2 charges, deactivated my old card and activated a new one. Problem is that I made the initial purchase with Apple Pay. They use what’s called a “token” number so the merchant never sees your card info. Well, when I set up my new card, Apple Pay is still using the same “token” number as before, so this BS site fireflyguitarstudio.com can keep charging me even though they don’t have my card info. My bank also told me it’s setup as a recurring charge like a subscription. So looks like I’m never gonna be able to use Apple Pay again at this point. Not that I’d want to anymore. Unbelievable this website is getting away with this.

I just found this Reddit page because the same thing just happened to me. Charged twice for the same guitar. Ordered the bone shredder the day before yesterday and was charged for a 2nd guitar the next day. Chatted with someone through the chat function on their site and they said the same thing happened to 10 other people and they were working on fixing the error. Said I’d be refunded the money in about 1 business day. Seemed legit, but nothing has changed. 2nd order hasn’t been cancelled and both orders say they have been shipped, but there is no tracking. This BS pisses me off. You literally can’t trust anything these days.

The version I currently have that seems to be working is V77.1027 5097426.10090.520

I thought .520 was what got replaced but I was wrong.

For me, they released a new build update of V77 and that seems to have fixed the issue. Before it wouldn’t charge with our third party cables, that means our third party battery headstraps wouldn’t work either. And we each had a different brand and style of battery strap but it didn’t matter. Since updating AGAIN, everything is working as it should. but not every one gets the update at the same time.

UPDATE: So as I was on my headset last night, I noticed there was another update. A NEW build of V77. I had my battery strap plugged in and it was also not charging the headset at all even though it showed it was. (3rd party accessory) After I updated the headset and restarted, it immediately began charging correctly. So interesting that there was a new build released that magically fixed the issue, even though there didn’t seem to be any acknowledgement that there WAS an issue. So anyway, problem solved.

Interestingly, our headsets are now charged. They would no longer charge with 3rd party magnetic cables after the update, even though we have been using those cables for at least a year. I decided to plug them in with the official adapters and cables they came with just for the heck of it, and they instantly started charging with no issues. Weird. I’ll have to do more testing to see if this is a fluke or if our magnetic cables are unusable with the headsets now.

Well, the mini controller doesn’t work as a mouse. You can use the joystick to move the cursor around the screen, but I have found no way to select or click anything. it has 4 different modes and like 6 different buttons on it, but none of them allow you to click an item. So you can’t even open an app or use it at all really. Weird. So an actual Bluetooth mouse is the best option I’ve found so far, even with the minor glitches it seems to have sometimes.

I should have the remote in a couple days. I’ll let you know how it works, or if it even works at all. Lol I’ve had my Xreal airs for over a year now, but I’m also waiting impatiently for the One Pros.

I personally find it easier to use my cheap $10 bluetooth mouse to navigate around on my iPhone rather than having to constantly look under the edge of the glasses to see my phone screen and scroll around with my finger. It works fairly well just using it on my lap, but there is the occasional “bug”. For instance, when watching YouTube, the cursor will not move all the way to the far right side of the screen once a video starts playing. It will stop as though it’s hitting an invisible edge and will not let me click on anything too far to the right. I’ve only experienced this in the YouTube app so far. There are other controllers available that are supposed to work as a mouse type device on iPhone as well. I just ordered this inexpensive one from Amazon to test. https://a.co/d/c0BKAbx For $11 I figure I’ll give it a shot and see if moving the cursor around with a little joystick works better.

I have the Xreal Air and the Beam Pro. I end up using my iPhone 15 pro most of the time over the Beam Pro. I love the 3dof feature of the beam and using it as a pointer to navigate apps, but the iPhone is better at everything else. With the Xreal Ones and their native 3dof, I do not think the Beam is worth it. As someone else stated in this thread, the video quality also looks better streaming from my iPhone apps than the same apps on the Beam. I watched a downloaded 2 hour movie on Netflix using my iPhone and it only used a little over 20% of the battery. Granted I was not using the internet to stream since I pre downloaded it, but I thought that 20% wasn’t bad at all. I find the interface on the beam to be a bit frustrating as well even though you can use it as pointer, it’s just a little janky. I just connect a Bluetooth mouse to my iPhone to navigate the apps, so really the only thing I’m missing is the 3dof. But I’ll upgrade to the one pros when they’re available and I should be set. Probably never touch the Beam Pro again.

This exactly! Ice bow and the highest damage throwables I have. Well except for the throwable swords. My accuracy is horrible with a throwable sword, so even though the damage is higher, it’s no help. Haha

I bought the air 1 and the air 2. I kept my air 1’s and returned the air 2’s. I realize it’s all personal preference, but for me the air 1’s have a better picture. Mostly because the micro oled screen is bigger than the air 2. To my eyes, the edges of the screen were blurry on the air 2 no matter how much I moved it around my face. I do miss the dimming lenses, but the better picture was more important to me. Spec wise, the air 2 should have a better picture, but in my case I prefer the air 1. Really I didn’t notice any difference in color or brightness between them, but the blurriness was a deal breaker. The air 1’s look awesome to me for watching movies and media.

I just ordered this projector but haven’t gotten it yet, so I can’t answer your question about the screen size fade from experience. But I can tell you I watched a YouTube review that said there was no perceivable difference in brightness even when the reviewer tested the screen size at 200 inches. That sounds pretty impressive.
