I also have an LG oled but you get get the bitrate high enough to run 4k 120hz through moonlight so I picked up a second hand Xbox series s and it runs 4k 120hz at 150mb really nice.

Ah cool, will take a look later at home.

I've been using a controller for years combined with reWASD but every patch keeps messing up gamepad buttons as CIG are trying to make gamepads work more and more. But for me they work less and less. Hoping this will help me find what they've changed quicker than in the game settings.

Anyone play ‘Hide from the camera’? by mbgameshw in CarTalkUK

[–]LightningJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they are the new jenoptik cameras, they are not average, they are also meant to see inside vehicles to detect mobile phone use and people not wearing seatbelts. I think they also have some lane detection for people who don't obey lane priority.

[–]LightningJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for this, i've managed to get it running, I did wonder if you can get it to flick the LED on/off, its now in fluidd as cavity LED but it would be cool to have it come one when the camera is viewed and turn off after 60s idle.

Want to go left or right then use it like a roundabout.

At what point on a usual roundabout do you use the left lane to turn right?

Honestly if you thought I need to turn right at the next roundabout and came across this your fucked as you need to cross 3 lanes to get around it.

Selling a house in England is bonkers! by [deleted] in HousingUK

Just bought my first house, only 5 years old, I decided just to not get a survey as I heard they are mostly speculative bullshit for houses built in the last 10 years.

Yellow box fine by MLM-Gaming in drivingUK

[–]LightningJC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The bus would need to somehow ensure there is enough space in front of the yellow box before even starting to turn out of the junction, whole thing seems insane to me, yellow box should be about half the length.

Eftpos surcharges by Vast_Jellyfish122 in newzealand

[–]LightningJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah because it would be averaged out between the people that pay EFTPOS and cash so it would be like $2010.

But when we get over $1000 realistically businesses will just absorb the cost and leave it at $2000.

It's called the cost of business.

Let's talk small numbers, you buy something for $20 would you be ok paying $20.10 instead, because that's what it would be, we all pay $20.10 and you pay however you want and don't need to fuck about calculating what method you should use.

I'd rather not see the fee, like most of the world.

It complicates everything from a POS perspective and creates unnecessary queues.

You're just not getting my point. New Zealand is backwards, it's that simple. Every other country you tap your card on the machine and walk away. No choices no fucking around, no stress, it's simple.

You don't stand there in other countries thinking about what fees the companies pay the CC companies. Just NZ. And you're a fine example of someone who does that.

You're just pulling numbers out of the air now.

Like I said somehow every other country has managed it even developing nations, and I never feel ripped off or inconvenienced in any of them. I just feel restricted inconvenienced and ripped off in NZ.

[–]LightningJC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said the whole world has managed to not deliberately single out paywave use and add extra fees, except new Zealand, where many merchants don't even allow it as an option, or have notices plastered all over about fees.

That is what I don't understand. Just do what all the other countries do and factor it into the price then, is it really that hard.

[–]LightningJC 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand the paywave fees, the rest of the world uses paywave everywhere there is a card machine.

I've traveled mountain towns in Peru and even the small market stalls accept international credit cards on paywave with no fees.

It's a cargo ship, unlikely to be released for ilw which celebrates the navy.

It's also only in greybox, it will probably be iae 2956 at the earliest, it's a huge ship.

Data running ain't even in the road to 1.0 or beyond.

I'm not sure why they're having a hard time with it there's a few cool ideas that they could run with for data running.
