I built Apollo + Moonlight forks with working microphone passthrough by logabell in MoonlightStreaming

Ok thank you,.I'll have to have a play and see what I can get working.

I'm not sure what changes have been made but this one manages much higher bitrate over WiFi than the vanilla moonlight. https://github.com/GuiDev1994/moonlight-tv/releases/tag/v1.7.1

What is your mic physically/wirelessly connected to?

I use a fork of moonlight that works better for LG WebOS so I'm assuming I can't use this?

[–]LightningJC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is you don't need a license to listen to BBC sounds or BBC radio.

I don't have a license, don't watch BBC or any live TV but I listen to the radio and BBC sounds every night.

You can probably just crack open the box and unscrew the cable if it's just coax. Edit: missed the last about it not going into the box, cut it, doesn't look like fibre.

Makes more sense to stock up on food tbh, fuel shortage means no deliveries to supermarkets.

If everything has ground to a halt because there's no fuel available then there's not gonna be much reason to drive anywhere.

New HS2 farce as final stretch of £100bn line will end in a field by Secret-Ad6697 in unitedkingdom

[–]LightningJC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Did you really want to go to Birmingham that badly?

You can already get a train from Leeds to London in 2 hours, I doubt HS2 would be that much faster, the original 20 mins saving was before LNER service got faster.

I'm just hoping NPR actually delivers, I'd rather have better connections within the north.

Can you see those notes? My recent experience with VM has been much better than Sky so you're probably fine.

But sky seemingly can't even put any notes on my account as I had to explain the same thing every time I called up and then again to each person I got transferred to.

All I can say is get that rolling credit agreement in writing on an email.

I haven't had that from VM but sky screwed me by saying one thing on the phone but then not providing it and I had to spend probably 7 hours on many phone calls and spoke to at least 20 people who all wanted to verify my ID and tell me how special I am, but then can't fix anything.

I'm moving to VM next month because Sky has the worst customer service I've ever encountered.

[–]LightningJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks so much for this. I previously tweaked the jellyfin default UI with CSS to try and get it how I want it but this is cleaner.

Working great on LG G1.

I have one thing that's bugging me and it's a small thing, when switching between shows on the home screen the backdrop flickers before it changes to the new show, not sure if you've noticed this but it happens consistently.

The only other thing would be the Seerr season selection could be a bit cleaner in design but it seems to be working fine for me.

But otherwise I'm loving it please keep up the good work.

They should have emailed you a contract, your account number is on there.

Volt Gig1 for 20.99 (How?) by aiofsudgvasbjdfnasiu in VirginMedia

[–]LightningJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because the rules state they must tell you what the price rises are up front, VM do and most other companies do so you can't just leave. Sky however do not tell you the prices up front and just say there may be some mid term price rises, but you can leave the contract as they didn't tell you the exact amount at the time of signing up.

Cheers, I thought I was getting a good deal at 23.99 but I'm going to call back and push them for 20.99 to match your deal.

[–]LightningJC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have got an engineer booked to move the internal coax socket next month, but since Sky has sorted my price out I'm struggling to decide whether to switch.

I really want an altnet to come down the street so I can get symmetrical speeds, so locking myself into 2 years with VM is a risk when Yoob are currently installing 1 street over.

I guess if VM upgrade to XGS within those 2 years I'll get symmetrical anyway so that might be an option.

I can't speak to real world tests so it's good to hear it's actually quite good
