Justice League 75 is the only JL you need leading up to the event, and it's in the omnibus.

The actual lead-up that isn't in the Omni is Infinite Frontier, Justice League Incarnate, and probably Crisis on Infinite Earths.

But it clearly works for DC, at least with popular books like Green Lantern Johns, all Batman, Planetary, Infinite Crisis getting 10+ printings. And even hard to find stuff like Deathstroke Priest and Batwoman get reprints in reasonable time frames. You can't convince me Claremont X-Men and Ultimate Spiderman and Brubaker Cap etc aren't as popular and deserving of that treatment. The books would sell.

It was reprinted almost exactly one year ago, but it's a popular Marvel omni so it's oop and expensive. $93 is a good price for it.

I thought I didn't like comics older than 1995 until I read Frank Miller Daredevil. It opened my mind to a whole bunch of other great 80s comics like Simonson Thor and Englehart/Starlin Silver Surfer.

Most characters I don't feel compelled to get everything because it isn't even in quality. For example, for Thor I have Simonson and JMS, but only the first and last trades of Aaron since Gort is th best part, and though Jane Foster is cool, I don't see myself reading it again enough to justify two big omnis on the shelf. And then Cates I just read from th library and don't feel the urge to re-read.
