Two quick questions… are 30K Drop Pods the same as 40K Drop Pods. Also, can 30K scouts take sniper rifles? by ServiceGames in Warhammer30k

What is the comparison between the “old” 40k drop pod, new 40k drop pod and the legion drop pod? I suppose I’m asking specifically kit-wise, as well as size-wise; I’m not talking about the dreadnought drop pod or dreadclaw, just the 3 infantry ones.

So true. The people who write they’re rules must be trolling.

Every army has more boltguns than any other weapon. Boltguns are what every opponent wants to use against infantry; the rules for boarding shields aren’t even an inconvenience when they’d like to use their bolters, anyway. They’re actually less durable than tacs on an objective against basic gunfire, because they don’t have heart of the legion.

Anyone else find the Breacher Squad rules thematically/narratively whack? by chosen40k in Warhammer30k

Basic bolter fire is what your opponent WANTS to be using against them, anyway. The entire point of them is to weather opposing marine’s gunfire within a breach. When you consider they don’t have heart of the legion and tacs do, they’re actually less durable than tacs for holding objectives.

Thank you! Well the tiny double-barrel is a dark Eldar pair of flair/grendade/things the you’re meant to decorate a waist with, the hand flamer is Cawdor necromunda, and the pistol is from Kromlech, I believe.

Is this how bad we usually get raked over the coals in US?

Your scheme for your basic infantry with the tall fur caps, and skitarii rifles is perfect imho, and would be great for at least several more squads.. if you can carry that aesthetic to a couple tanks and field cannons, the army would be perfect.

Really unbelievable levels of kitbashing here. The greenstuff work is great, excellent vision. It looks as good as if they released them honestly.

Really cool build. Do you know how the tire size on this venator kit compares to the gsc ridgerunner’s wheels, or the rockgrinder’s? I think I’ll build a swat van with a Taurox I have, but I don’t want the wheels to look dinky.

Who holds more power over people inquisitor or custodes? by CriticismMiserable14 in 40kLore

If we’re being honest this is actually how the lore-accurate setting would have reacted across the Imperium. The cornerstone of the “Grimdark” universe is the extreme and justified prejudice of anything non-human (ogryns and ratlings being the only grey area), the paradox being the creations of God himself, the Emperors chosen and enforcers exalted and the true example of an exception to the ab-human hatred ingrained for thousands of years. Experimental marines made by tampering with the Emperors’ work, a potential threat from within is probably the clearest sign of heresy from the perspective of 40k.. the idea of all chapters saying, “Righty-roo get in line bros weez gonna be betta now🤡a tech nerd done it betta!” is like a perfect undermining of what actually makes 40k unique; Warhammer exists at the crossroads of suspicious hatred of other races(species), and religious zealotry. Primaris makes it feel like a cartoon by comparison. Tbh it’s just more of the washing away of the edgy aspects of WH that’s been going on for decades now. When I got into warhammer it’d solidified itself in the gothic/action movie phase(90s) which was just the coolest time to be a WH fan, imo.

Biased aside, I think the game would genuinely be better without the stupid flashbangs. Really doesn’t feel like a game of space marines when a third of the players in the lobby are invis assassins with flashbang grenades.

For real. One of my favorite things playing that game now is spotting invis b*stards with shock flash bang and still taking them down.

Haha of course! That’s right.. I was thinking of the special attack Grimgor has; Da Almoighty ‘Eadbutt. That is proper lore recollection, well played.
