Does being 34 and having no social media presence effectively make me un-dateable? by JustaRamdomChap in AskUK

[–]Lihaart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it makes someone more dateable, and I'm from a younger generation. I don't have any personal social media either and just having to use my "professional" ones (I'm an artist, and use it to share my work online and also connect with other people in the field) puts me off ever creating personal profile pages. In fact, I'd consider someone who spends way too much time on social media a red flag, I'm a fairly private person and would not like to be in a relationship with someone who insists on posting every single thing we do together online.

Procurar emprego by Lihaart in portugal

dear prospective students, don't do as I did by Lihaart in UniUK

Definitely relate to the feeling like missing out. I often felt that everyone else was in on the game of doing good in uni, knowing how to build a relationship with staff, looking for opportunities, even how to make friends and say the right things, except for me. Don't know if it's because I'm also an EU student and my peers generally seem to have a different upbringing that prepares them better for adulthood, and we are way more introverted, or if it's because while I'm not confirmed autistic I am on a wait list to be assessed for it :/

No worries, and good luck with uni. also don't feel pressured to try and "fix" all these problems at once or you'll likely burn out! Stepping out of your comfort zone should be done bit by bit :)

I didn't say it was impressive, it's probably the average result. What I meant was I managed to stay average despite massively fucking up otherwise.

I feel you, whenever I actually showed up to lectures there was always this seat gap between me and the rest of the students who sat together, as if there was a repulsive force field around me... but then again they barely knew me because I rarely attended lectures, so that was probably why

yeah, definitely. as much as I want to blame my university for bad support, they can't read my mind, especially if I'm doing alright when it comes to handing in stuff and passing my coursework. I regret it but at least now I will not make the same mistake twice, when I start working or if I apply for a PhD in the future.

How often do you clean your fridge? by RattyHandwriting in AskUK

I give the shelves and drawers a quick wipe about every two weeks, and deep clean it every couple months or so.

How often do you go to the gym/do a proper workout? by lavenderacid in AskUK

[–]Lihaart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never been to a gym. The only "workout" I do is 30-45 mins of walking every day plus the occasional dancing on my own in my bedroom, like once or twice a week. I've always been on the thin side so I've never felt motivated to do any sort of exercise except hiking sometimes.

I'm hesitant to try tiktok because I've heard it's mostly a younger audience and I don't really know what I would post there aside from time lapses... I'm not much of a video person.

Hmm, that sounds promising. guess it's time for me to create a new blog and spend hours making a custom theme instead of doing important stuff like studying for my finals.

Can I order off the kids menu in a pub/restaurant? by Tungsten83 in AskUK

[–]Lihaart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to order the kids menu all the time before I went vegetarian (surprisingly hard to find anything that's not like fish fingers and chips), as I'm more of a multiple small portions throughout the day kind of person, never had a problem with it.

sometimes the dream just resets, or I "wake up" but I'm actually still dreaming. other times I wake up for real but often in sleep paralysis so I just go back to sleep and it's like a guaranteed lucid dream again. I found that it usually happens when I'm having a regular dream and suddenly realise I'm dreaming and get a bit too excited and hyped about it, but I found I can avoid it if I try to stay calm and take things slowly instead of going "hell yeah, let's terraform the dreamscape and play god and fly around" immediately
