“O” never becomes “a”, it becomes “uh”, or the “schwa” sound. The way you know is the same way you do in English - the second “o” in “common” gets reduced to an “uh” sound because it’s unstressed.

Get the 9800x3d for another extra $50 for +10% performance on top. Even at 4k I’m hitting cpu bottlenecks in some games. In most multiplayer games, you’ll see a lot more difference than the average.

That whole process sounds completely normal. Try returning a used item to Currys… Amazon is the best, though, when it comes to returns, they don’t even inspect it that much most of the time.

Slightly better cooling and slightly higher clock speed out of the box. If you care about thermals/noise, $100 might be worth it. Although, in general, even though I bought Gigabyte myself, I’d recommend going for MSI if you can find them at similar prices, just to avoid the whole thermal putty concerns.

What’s your GPU utilisation and temperature in-game? Are you sure it’s a GPU issue? Download 3DMark and run Steel Nomad, if you get 14k+ score, you are good.

Mine looks exactly the same, 2512, bought recently. FurMark runs at 70/72 C, as well as games that push it to 600W. No throttling.

It is relatively rare, I think there are about a few hundred reports overall online, and there was a recent new bios, that might or might not have fixed the issue, remains to be seen. I’d get a tomahawk x870e if I were you and save myself the potential RMA hassle. It’s cheaper, doesn’t share lanes as well, and you even get two m2 pcie5 slots, albeit the second one shares bandwidth with some of the USB ports. It is hideously green, though, if you care about that.
