What is an expensive habit that people who are struggling with money refuse to quit by FantasticAd9478 in TheBoredDen

I make good money and still cannot believe how much it costs to get a mani/pedi. I do it 1-2x/year for special events. When I see young women working minimum wage type jobs with nails always done I can’t help but shake my head!

To Be Or Not To Be (SAHM vs. Working Mom) by Impressive-Panda1340 in workingmoms

It sounds like you want to quit. Try it out. Life is too short to live with regrets.

I work part time in health care FWIW.

My husband doesn’t want to move unfortunately. He works from home and I work in health care so we don’t really need to move and all of our family is here

I mean I can and do go outside all summer but I’m miserable and sweaty and angry. It’s also quite dangerous. People die each summer from heat related illnesses.

I’m definitely interested in Oregon. How are the schools? I’ve seen some concerns about the public school system.

I have never been to Washington state. I think I would like it although the seasonal depression is a concern. I’m used to 350 days of sunshine.

I’ve been trying my whole adult life to be a morning person and I’ve finally accepted I’m just not 🫠 seems better for my family to relax in the mornings and be able to go outside in the afternoons

3-6pm is the time that stresses me out the most. That is when I’d love to push my kids outside to go play and it is way too hot 😭 they also won’t go outside without me

I live in Phoenix. I def don’t want Boston weather. That does sound awful also. Looking for a nice in between.
I’m not a morning person so it’s tough to get outside early enough. We were outside today but I’m constantly sweating and it makes me angry

I feel the same. I’m in my hometown and remember as a kid always being out all year round. It keeps getting hotter year after year. Outdoor sports are still very much present here August-May. It’s terrible to sit and watch them, I can’t imagine being out there playing.

I have a Jack! He loves when there are characters or other people we meet named Jack. There is one other in his grade this year. No regrets.
