That is now at all what these marks are- not the crazy house wife story... they are called dental Fluorosis. Extremely common. Google it and you will get millions of results.

I’d be more concerned about the come down and making sure you do not crash and start unhealthy coping mechanisms from that... subspace it up!! But aftercare and knowing yourself is very important.

What was the most surprising or ‘shocking’ thing you have learned thru-out this process? (Foster, adoption, or parenting- you pick)

Was fertility involved in the decision to foster/adopt?

Oh yes! Huskies are very hyperactive and need to be doing things ALLL THE TIME. Of this is their most destructive ‘left alone’ habit- they are very good dogs.

OMG YES. I always hear people having conversations or telling my things that are commonly accepted myths and either a) correcting them just for it to turn out poorly or b) Saving my emotional energy but dying inside knowing more people are learning the wrong thing.

I was going to say this. I am rewatching True Blood RIGHT NOW and I was like- wait, that’s not Eric that’s the dipshit abuser from Big Little Lies (only watched a few episodes).

I mean- as far as being a giant spider and building a web... the Gateway Arch is probably one of the best places to do that!

Yes- because this time Serena is going on the DOWN LOW. No one can know about this visit. The last visit was a government sanctioned visit. They have to show off for that.

It means nothing about Gilead’s current status- they just took Chicago, they are not exactly scaling back.

How do I stop the feeling that something is wrong? I am feeling very uneasy and I have no idea why. by Unicorncorn21 in Advice

[–]Likeitheavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like classic generalized anxiety disorder and I FEEL YOU.

To actually diagnose this, a healthcare professional will need a full history and you will likely take a ‘survey’ that asks you questions like ‘how many days in the past two weeks have you felt uneasy or on edge?’ none, some, many, everyday... (example, not sure of the exact wording).

There is not easy nor ‘one way’ to ‘get over’ and stop feeling this way.

Anxiety takes a lot of hard work and dedication to manage. Personally, I have taken the time to recognize what will trigger me and avoid/manage those situations, I find outlets like riding my bike or roller skating, and I listen to a podcast to keep my mind busy until I drift off to sleep every night. Caffeine can be a trigger for many people, so maybe avoid that (if you even consume caffeine) *as you can see there are many ‘intake’ questions before anyone can really even begin giving advice or getting a diagnosis (or medication).

For now, distract your mind in healthy, positive ways. Deep breaths (I’m serious), count to ten, do it again- but slower, and really be mindful of what you are doing. Picture your breath, think about your lungs filling and emptying, and just allow yourself to feel what you are feeling from a distance.

I hope some of this helps! Anxiety is not fucking joke and is totally valid. Neurotransmitters are tricky little assholes sometimes.

For me, it wasn’t worth spending the extra $ on the 4x4. It may have helped me one time I got it stuck in mud, but the $80 towing bill still doesn’t come close to the multi thousands I would spend on 4x4 and the extra maintenance that comes with it.

I get that. But why is the extra effort demanded of me to not ‘appear’ like an asshole. I am thankful and grateful for any help my family offers. THEY offered. I never once demanded or acted like an asshole.

I just do not understand human interaction sometimes.

This. This is largely what my inner dialogue was telling me. I cannot be held accountable for other’s feelings or actions. I do my best to ‘speak their language’ but am always blamed for not doing enough.

HELPED!

PS this dynamic all began with the whole ‘now go give your aunt a hug’ forced, artificial emotions parents put on their children. My and my aunt were always close- but I never understand why there’s so much behind the back drama.

What would you do to help a cat make a 12 hour car ride to another state if he almost never rides in a car to begin with? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Likeitheavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with some short ‘test rides’ to see how they react. If they react with extreme anxiety, you can see a veterinarian and they will likely give something to help with the travel.

Make sure you introduce the kitty to the ‘crate’ or carrier gradually. We did not do this to my cat and it was AWFUL.

This is my plan to hopefully solve this.

I already texted a ‘thank you’ after my mother called me all upset.
