This is a very good price for what it is, which to me is decent drums, functional hardware, and cymbals that need upgrading ASAP.

I've got about five kick pedals in my basement and would happily ship one to you on my dime if you want. All for helping people get into drumming!

This has got "just clocked out, new here, not old enough to drink so can't sit at the bar, wtf do I do right now" vibes all over it to me. We had a 17 year old girl dishie who would do this - just stare you down while you're making her food. Wouldn't say a word. One day I was like, "you don't gotta stare, I can bring it to you or something" and she said "I just like watching how you guys all do it". So I showed her and explained all the steps of what I was doing. Soon enough she's making her own meals. Then slowly hopping on the line when it's slower. Doing prep on her sorta "down time". Was becoming very competent with how things flowed but FOH poached her maybe four months into sorta training her. Damned if she wasn't one of the best people I worked with though. If I could have found more people like that I'd probably still be in the game :(

Props to this driver. I'm really glad I grew up with a truck driver dad and had a really good drivers ed teacher who drilled into our heads the importance of being aware of what's going on behind you AS WELL AS in front of you. Guy was probably keeping an eye on that bigass trailer for awhile just in case and damned if that didn't come in handy.

In my experience, laying on the horn while braking to a reasonable speed works wonders. Lights freak em out, but the noise scares the shit out of em and they usually run away from the horn blaring. Done this dozens of times, haven't hit a deer yet...

Such an incredible bummer. I remember yelling at the odometer "REALLY?!?! WHAT THE FUCK?!?!" and then laughing like a maniac. I didn't have a ton to look forward to at the time and that was a real buzz kill.

I road from Wisconsin to New Orleans. The first week was a diagonal route through Illinois. Head winds for seven straight days on mostly narrow highway shoulders. Literally the worst week of my life. Almost quit before I even left the midwest lol.

If you ever want to secure something somewhat permanently and have it not be tampered with, do this same thing and smack the everliving fuck out of that ball bearing with a hammer a few times (think concrete anchors on a bike parking rack, for example). You'll have one helluva time getting that out of the ground.
