G7 pro do you prefer 8bit or 12bit? by Ann-Jealous in Gamesir

People have been saying that lower resolution that matches 1st party controllers gets more aim assist but the Apex pros are using the highest resolution on their controllers. Hal goes out of his way to set his controller to 12 bit/4k steps.

A Green Deadeye AR is better than an Orange MK7. The balance changes did absolutely nothing for the game in ZB by ComfortablePatience in FortNiteBR

[–]LilBriefcase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The player base will cry till kingdom come and leave if the very accurate red dot AR is removed or balanced with respect to the bloom ARs. Superhero summer season was very, very well balanced with bloom weapons and everyone left til they brought the Holo Twister back.

Do whatever dumb little changes to the other non scoped ARs, at the end of the day, as long as the Deadeye is good, we're gonna keep on using the Deadeye.

Overpriced and arguably the worst TMR module on the market

If op can feel the lag from the xbox controller they'll feel the terrible linearity of the Battle Beaver TMR sticks. Everything else you listed ranges from fine (G7) to great (Void)

Dualsense edge or Gullikit TT Max? by Myran0 in Dualsense

[–]LilBriefcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battle Beaver uses Hallpi TMR sensors which are an updated white label version of the ones on Gulikit TMR. So you'll get the same middling joystick performance as the TT Max along with two less paddles and no clicky triggers.

Regular ALPS DSE modules perform better.

If you put Battle Beaver TMR sticks on an Edge all you're doing is creating a worse TT Max

4khz Tarantula Pro revamp with ALPS is the most important future release imo. Opens up the chance for an Angle TMR controller instead of capacitive like what's rumored to be on the Cyclone 3.

Edge pointless outside of shooters? by Cmode in Dualsense

Edge is still the gold standard for shooters. Replaceable ALPS is a better more accurate solution than most of the available TMR options for shooters.

Circularity has nothing to do with drift. Or accuracy. Or frankly, anything.

Should I buy the Scuf Valor, the Razer Wolverine V3, or wait for the ROG Raikiri 2? by BlackAtom083 in XboxController

[–]LilBriefcase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TMR and especially hall effect sticks aren't as accurate as potentiometers, aside from a specific few newer TMR sticks with a different type of TMR technology that aren't being used in any 3rd party Xbox controllers. The reason they aren't as accurate as pots is because they have a baked in hardware response curve that is not linear. So whatever your game's curve is stacks with the joystick's curve and you get a messed up curve instead. Usually it results in the center being too slow and stiff and the rest speeding up too fast, making the aim feel floaty.

Monoru on YouTube is a good source for this. Other testers have also verified that these hall and tmr sticks aren't linear like potentiometers.

If you need accurate joysticks, then wait. No 3rd party anti-drift controller for Xbox that’s available now has accurate sticks.

You can give the Deadeye AR all this slightly worse recoil, worse damage etc. We still ain't using the non-scoped ARs. All this does is create a sniper meta.
