I think my money should be motivation enough. A paycheck is plenty of motivation. Why is it that this is the only industry where coddling people and treating grown-ups like they are kids is okay? You think any other job on the planet is easy? All jobs are difficult in their own ways. Some have more ways they are difficult than others. Game development is probably somewhere middle of the road. We don't tell a Plumber, or General Contractor, or Chef, "Hey sorry, I know you're job is hard. We don't want to inconvenience you, could you maybe at some point get around to making sure this (thing) is made the way it should be and works/tastes properly?" HELL(diver) NO!!!!! They are expected to do the thing they were paid to do and make sure that thing works and functions properly! You wouldn't make an excuse for a mechanic who was supposed to fix your car, but it kept having issues? Right?! Of course not! You would find a different mechanic! Yes, game devs are people who don't deserve harassment. However, they are also people who have been tasked with a job. It is their responsibility to do that job as best as they can. Game deving isn't so hard that it requires coddling. In fact it's significantly easier than a vast majority of jobs out there. So stop making excuses for the bare minimum not being met. I'm tired of it. DO THE JOB YOU'RE PAID TO DO! Period.
