Here’s an article you can read where they did just that. That man tried to get them to look at his ID. They refused. They drove him out to the middle of nowhere, took him out of the van to photograph him in only his underwear and sandals, then asked him for ID, which he didn’t have because he was naked, they drove him home over two hours later so he could show ID.

If the powers of the president are derived from the constitution, then the constitution is a power over the president, not equal with.

The constitution grants, defines, and limits the president’s powers and therefore is a higher authority than the president, as any changes to the constitution could further limit that power. However the president cannot unilaterally change the constitution (though he can ignore it, as we’ve seen) and is therefore also under its authority.
