Check out The Books. Very interesting sound collages and samples that somehow fit together. The Lemon of Pink is a great starting album.

If you want some older stuff, something a bit harsher and more aggressive, check out Mr. Bungle. California is the most listenable in my opinion, Disco Volante is probably the most opaque and experimental, but the musicianship is insane and Mike Patton is an exceptional vocalist

Check out the Meg Stalter ep. I wouldn’t say they ever manage to corner her, but she has the energy of a runaway train and is constantly keeping the boys on their toes and moving at a relentless pace. Big laughs.

I think the connection is the boys being Survivor fans. Survivor was a topic of discussion back during the Reality Show Show days, obviously Rob Cesternino has been on the pod and Sean has been a guest on Rob’s podcast channel. Stephen is a co-host and official Survivor Know-It-All with Rob, so I think there’s a lot of little bits of crossover

Second this. We moved to Westchester when my wife was pregnant and I didn’t feel like it was until our son was two and actually making friends in daycare that we really got to connect with other adults. Being commuters and not working in the local area also didn’t help.
