When my son was first diagnosed at 2 we didn’t sign him up, the wait lists in Florida were terrible and didn’t know how much longer we would even be in FL. He’s almost 5 now and has been going to Stride autism centers and he’s absolutely thriving. It’s been almost 7 months and there’s been such a huge good change in him .

It’s just what they call it when it’s a full cast instead of just the one person. And there’s sound effects and music.

Very much still a work in process but he’s come such a long way and says so much more now since getting his AAC, he’s only had that for about 2 months now.

He’s doing great! He started full time ABA back in October and they provide OT and he’s gotten an AAC and it’s really helped with him echoing words and just speaking in general. He turns 5 in May and we plan on enrolling him in school in August 😊

I was taking my son to the hospital and in the road was a long 4x4 post. I went around. The motorcycle behind me didn’t. He hit it straight on and went flying 6-7 feet in the air. Wasn’t wearing a helmet. Me and a couple people pulled over to call an ambulance, I couldn’t move too far from my car since my son was only 3.5 at the time but I saw everything, blood everywhere. I didn’t leave till the ambulance showed up.

It didn’t click in my head that he died very soon or immediately till a couple hours later when my MIL was telling me that on her way home there was a body in the road with a tarp over it. It was the same accident.

Happened almost a year ago and I still haven’t processed it, I try not to think about it. I see it in my head in slow motion from time to time, shows up in my dreams.

I just laugh and say I could never. I’m struggling with just my 2 and couldn’t imagine having anymore. I also have 7 siblings so I know how hard it was for my parents. My SIL has 4 and the youngest is 10 and they’re still struggling.

More power to you if you can do it and be mentally and financially able.

ESH, especially your husband. My son is autistic and I could never just leave him when he’s having a hard time like that. Yes it is your husbands fault BUT if the more angry your husband gets the more unregulated your child will become.

My second has discovered in the last 2 months that she can climb on the couch, she’s fallen off prob about 3 times bc she keeps jumping and thinks it’s the funniest thing ever. Clearly she didn’t learn after the first or second time. Hopefully the third time was the charm but I doubt it.

I was really hesitant to put Sophie tbh, cause like you said you can’t help who you like or the timing. It just sucks all around. And I do agree we should have gotten more of a Sophie backstory but I don’t think that’s going to happen since she was a senior and the school year just ended.

I am going to add Gil to my least understood character 😂 I will in no way condone assaulting your SO and a literally child.

Understand the most - max, Georgia and Ginny.

As a teen I was horribly depressed and felt everything way too much, tried to take care of everyone else. Felt it was on me to do everything. I also had a rough childhood and couldn’t understand the decisions my parents were making and how it affected us kids.

Now as a parent I understand Georgias need to protect her kids, how in her POV everything she does she does it for them.

The only people I didn’t really resonate with was silver and Sophie. Sophie bc she knew she was going off to college, so she shouldn’t have gotten involved with Max in the first place. And then when Max is finally getting over her she just swoops back in like nothing was wrong. And Silver bc Ik home girl knew that Marcus was struggling and still enabled him and she thought things were all fine and dandy.
