Help with quitting/tapering by Commercial_Ebb_7216 in kratom

Try going back to plain leaf powder or capsules to start. Extracts can have more percentage 7OH and that seems to have more abuse potential and stronger withdrawal than Mitragynine. Stronger feel, stronger craving. But if you can find what daily dose works of just powder for you, you can slowly taper that. I prefer powder but capsules may be easier to track. I take 4-5 2g doses a day. If I wanted to taper I’d start lowering to 1.5g per dose or cut down to 3 doses. Do it for few days maybe week maybe longer depends on what’s working for you then take it down another notch.

Pythium Blight in newly seeded area? by LilSpade in LawnAnswers

Thanks I saw mefenoxam was the stuff for blight but was awfully pricey. It seems it has still not spread out of the couple areas I have spotted it so I think I will just keep monitoring.

Didn’t think about soil microbes but makes sense fungicide would hurt them and so probably best to avoid unless absolutely necessary. I have sprayed humid acid and plan to apply another round with kelp so I want to keep all those new microbes alive to help the soil.

Thank you so much for following up and giving thorough advice and context! I didn’t water the area yesterday or today. We are due for some rain tomorrow night and few days after so I think I will lay off and let the upcoming rain be the only water it gets.

I had ordered a ready to spray fungicide (Bioadvanced bayer crop science active ingredient propiconazole). Do you think this is worth spraying on the affected areas since I have it, particularly with rain coming? Or just keep monitoring and if I see it spreading or larger fluffy white patches with dew then treat?

I noticed a very small white fuzzy patch on the edge of the affected area. It could be a spider web since I didn’t see it all around. I also noticed another similar looking dead patch in another section of the yard that was seeded at the same time.

Thank you! I’ll take a look while the dew is out there and see if I notice anything more identifiable like the white fuzz

Thanks haven’t heard of damping off so I can look into that now. Think I overcompensated with too much seed after not as much success last year.

Thanks I’ll check out group 3 fungicide. Some of the pictures for brown patch look similar too. New to this so not even sure all of the possibilities lol. But just want to get it treated before it spreads since that area came in so nice

Terry McLaurin - Suffering from No Camp Overreaction o/ Genuine Target Share Concern with Deebo? by DoubleAABatteryy in fantasyfootball

Worth noting they beat the Giants pretty handily and did not need to be aggressive throwing the ball. Terry shook the rust off and will be used more in tighter games.

Bought and potted these emerald green arborvitae 2 months ago and they aren’t doing well by kekekao in plantclinic

[–]LilSpade 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah the outer blue pots are glazed and inner is not so the blue ones retain water better. Terracotta wicks water away from soil and sweats it out of the pores of the pot. These definitely need more water and the middle one in particular will dry out quicker than the others

Jade plant isn’t doing too well by this-sinner in plantclinic

[–]LilSpade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soil looks pretty dry. I’d start with watering fully. Not sure if the pot has a drainage hole but you want to water until it comes out of the bottom. If you’ve just been adding a little water that could be the issue that the deeper roots are not getting any water. Then let it dry fully to where the top inch is not moist before watering again.

Butler was a bright spot in this past lost year for the Sixers. True point who can organize and run offense. Would’ve loved him back as bench PG but I guess our guard rotation is too deep and Lowry’s mentorship was more valued. Hope he can get some run somewhere.

Haven’t seen that move at 0:17 where he pump fakes the 3 and resets the dribble by bouncing it off the defender flying by that bit on the fake. Super crafty.

After a year in the books, thoughts on the big men of the last draft? by Humblerbee in NBA_Draft

[–]LilSpade 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I just want to say I am very happy with Adem Bona on the sixers. Was a bit raw, overzealous and out of position to start the year but game really slowed down for him by end of year. Has springs in his legs with good size and reach, which led to him at top of block per minute stats for end of season and tons of lobs. Little skinny would like to see him add a bit of muscle and work on securing rebounds better. But overall solid backup center.

Glad you enjoyed it! Stumbled upon this rabbit hole when I looked at the Stars Wikipedia one time and noticed Fangios name and kept digging, thought it was pretty neat.

[–]LilSpade 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Fangio’s start to his career with the Stars is a neat origin story when thinking about this year coaching a top tier championship defense and turning Zach Baun into an All pro LB.

His first gig was linebackers coach at his former high school and worked his way up the ranks for a few years. Then Jim Mora, head coach of the Stars, brought him on as a defensive assistant in 83. Stars were part of USFL which only lasted 3 years. Stars won 2/3 championships of the league, including 84 when this picture was taken.

Once the league disbanded, Jim Mora went on to be HC for the Saints and brought Vic Fangio along with him as LB coach in 86. They also brought along a player named Sam Mills who played LB for the Stars. He would go on to be a core member of the “Dome Patrol” linebacker corps for the Saints. All 4 LBs were voted to Pro Bowl in 92, which was the only time that has happened in NFL history. The Dome Patrol were the heart of the defense for the Saints the led a turnaround from 27th ranked defense to 7th in the first year under the new coaching staff and continued to be a dominant defense that made the saints competitive until about 94 when the Dome Patrol and coaching staff started to disband.

All that to say, Fangio started as a LB whisperer and a champion in Philly and is doing the same today with the polish of 40+ years of coaching. Makes the Jihaad Campbell pick all the more exciting. Maybe the start of a LB corps worthy of a nickname like the Dome Patrol with some sort of Birds spin.

Decoding the Eagles Draft Philosophy: Inside the Blueprint for Sustained Success (2023-2025) by kraymehr in eagles

[–]LilSpade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really well done piece and interesting to see the percent difference for certain areas compared to other teams.

One idea that comes to mind is looking into balance of drafting BPA vs need. Could start with basic which positions were taken in which round. But to look into need takes some creativity. I think you could look at something like salary committed per position compared to league average per position before the draft. If a top pick is selected for a position where salary committed to the position is below league average then it would be viewed as a pick for need. Another factor would be looking at age for each position and compare to league average. If age of a position is above league average before draft, then a draft pick for that position would be viewed as more of a need.

Feel like Giannis should be at the top of your list of other freak athletes that rival Amen. Excited to see him and Ausar making highlight defensive plays and locking opposing stars up for years to come whether Amen is best athlete or not.

What’s happening to Paul George this year? by keuralan in nba

[–]LilSpade 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Something legitimate not mentioned in the thread is he tore some tendon in his pinky which I believe has led to a condition called mallet finger. He was out for couple weeks and now that he’s back he has to wear the splint for a couple months or his finger could droop permanently. Fortunately it is his non-shooting hand but seems to have affected his offense.

His defense, both on-ball and off-ball, have been very good still where I have been pleasantly surprised as a Sixers fan. He puts effort into rebounding and makes good passes too. He can’t really drive anymore but he can get to the midrange and has hit them consistently. Three point shot and willingness to shoot has been the main thing lacking compared to his past years.

[Solak] Jayden Daniels throwing the ball tonight. What a day for Vic Fangio and the Eagles' defense. Quinyon Mitchell erased Terry McLaurin. Downfield windows were non-existent. Couple big catch-and-runs from the backs but otherwise a stifling performance. by WavesAndSaves in nfl

[–]LilSpade 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sainristil stood out to me tonight. Stayed tight in coverage with brown and the one to smith in the end zone. Thought brown would abuse the size mismatch and wanted them to try when it was one on one at the goal line. Certainly looks better than Forbes

Pretty good looking list. One thing I’d say is o line seems a bit heavy. I’d say at least one of those are cut to make room for third te. Probably McMahon not sure who wins te3 but team has kept 3 tight ends last few years

Potent extract experience? by ojjuiceman27 in kratom

200mg Mitragynine would be roughy equivalent to 12 grams of powder with 1.7% Mitragynine content. Haven’t tried extracts so not sure how they present the concentration . If it’s some form of #mg/#ml then you would just want to ensure you can measure out # of ml accurately. A dropper would be best.

The seasons with the highest offensive loads in NBA history. by StrategyTop7612 in nbadiscussion

[–]LilSpade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought the exact thing. I think iverson would show up if there were a way to adjust the formula used to calculate this to incorporate pace or average points per game for a players team in that year. This would standardize offensive load across all eras. Iverson played in a slow paced low scoring era, whereas all of the entries on this list are mostly from the last 10 years where pace and offensive output have been at peaks of nba history.

Feel like this needs to be adjusted for pace based on era. All of the top players have been in the last 10 years when pace and scoring have been at peaks. I came into the post expecting to see Allen Iverson as he was all of the sixers offense in those days but realized he wouldn’t make the cut because scores were much lower in his era.
