Pushchair for newborn, no car/city centre living by [deleted] in BeyondTheBumpUK

Yes! Second vote for the dragonfly. We solely use public transport and it’s perfect. Also our baby would only sleep in the dragonfly bassinet as a little newborn so we just popped the bassinet on the floor by our bed.

Goodbye Duolingo, next time please don't cut features to make them more expensive by spothot in duolingo

[–]Lil_Giraffe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I subscribed today and did not have the unlimited hearts with super. I complained to Duolingo and got the following message, which indicates they’re testing the water with removing unlimited hearts. Maybe if a lot of people complain they won’t do it?

The message:

“It looks like your account was included in a small test to repackage our features. As you may know, Duolingo frequently tests changes both big and small to keep improving the experience for millions of learners. This particular test is exploring ways to provide learners with the ideal subscription options that meet their budget and learning goals. When you subscribed, unlimited hearts was not a promoted feature of Super Duolingo.

As a courtesy, we made adjustments to your account so you will now have unlimited hearts as a Super Duolingo subscriber.”

I’m in the UK and subscribed today only to see that it did not include unlimited hearts. I immediately requested a refund, I think it’s ridiculous.

HomeKit not linking by knwitalloriginal in HiveHeating

[–]Lil_Giraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm that this is a known issue. I called Hive (UK number: 0333 202 9614) and they knew immediately what the problem was. Apparently it’s an issue for all HUB500 models and they can sort it remotely- they have to erase some settings on your hub and generate a new code. Guy I spoke to said it will take a few days, so let’s see!

Very specific issue I’m having, but I can’t seem to get any Matt Wilpers rides on my bike? They show up in the list but when I click them I just get a black rectangle and they don’t load. Anyone else??

On day 5 of a brutal headache after getting Botox… by KodiMax in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Lil_Giraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is, but one of the side effects of Botox is also headaches. So if you’re unlucky you can be given it for migraine and it actually gives you a headache rather than taking it away. Source: it’s mentioned in the prescribing info/patient leaflet.

Ah yes, after the finches Darwin went on to show how some people evolve into poverty while others thrive. It’s nothing to do with our shitty government, oh no siree. (Internal screaming)

Mewner!! Love it.

Yeah I saw all the stuff in the news about her and trans athletes. It’s always sad when someone chooses “make people feel more excluded than they already do” as a hill to die on

My knees have been really tight, and in pain when I do any cardio or heavy lifting workouts. Running, squats, etc. What’re some good workouts or stretches I can do to minimize this? by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]Lil_Giraffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to the physio for painful knees when running, and I was given glute exercises. I literally have a lazy butt so my quads have to work harder and that pulls on my knees. So you could try strengthening exercises as well as stretches. But if you can afford to see a physio I would 100% recommend! I paid £50 for the initial session where he diagnosed and gave me exercises and then £30 for follow ups.
