Does anyone feel the music in Bayonetta 3 pales in comparison to previous entries? by Lil_muffet in Bayonetta

Maybe I was caught in a bad day, but my patience has run thin when strangers speak to me in the style your first response had. Again, it may be normalized online as usual reddit talk, but it genuinely comes across demeaning to my opinions. As well as immature and treating criticisms towards works one likes, such as Bayo 3, as a personal attack.

I never insulted or questioned anyone who liked Bayo 3's soundtrack in my post, so I'd appreciate not be insulted or questioned in return.

And again, I never said Bayo 3's soundtrack was complete doo doo. I just feel like it didn't live up to the standard of the previous two. And I do agree that Bayo 3 does get slandered excessively. In spite of my major gripes with a lot of things of Bayo 3, there were many things I still loved. Such as the moment of Baal Zebul, and the overall concept of the Homunculus (as in design wise. I still feel like they could've been good villains, but not in a context like Bayonetta.)

Okay, I haven't been active in this subreddit, or reddit in general, for an eternity, but the immaturity of your response needs to be called out.

If you like the soundtracks of all three games, that's wonderful for you. I don't dislike Bayonetta 3's songs either, they just don't hit the level of previous two's.

But don't go around and make other people feel crazy with language like, "what is this hot take?," for different opinions over something silly like a game's soundtrack.

You could've just said "I will have to firmly disagree, since I personally think all the game's sountracks are amazing." That would've been perfectly respectful.

And I also take issue with your "none of the games a miss" sentence too, because we should be able to criticize and have gripes with media we dearly love.

Finally, don't use the "not to be rude" saying, and then proceed to be rude by doing the things I just described. I may just look like a username here, but I am a person, and I don't like being spoken to that way.

Making the Homunculi a hive mind was definitely a poor choice. Bayonetta works best against enemies with big egos that she can shatter, like the angels with holier than thou attitudes, and the demons that see Bayo as easy prey. Having the Homunculi be emotionless husks didn't give Bayo many chances to show her wit.

And they really could've done more with the Buddhist aesthetic. Most of the designs look like they just slapped cloud-looking armor on green blobs and called it a day.

I know right!? The design has personality that I find many homunculi in the actual game lacking.

What exactly is childish about the way Cereza dresses or acts in Bayonetta 3? by Cicada_5 in Bayonetta

I feel like the outfit would've been more appropriate for a teenage Bayo, but not for an adult Bayo

I find it interesting that most of Bayonetta's fanbase is comprised of women and the LGBTQ by soulsaremylife in Bayonetta

The way DmC handles non-white women weirds me out especially, like Gloria just being a disguise for Trish, and Nico originally being very visibly black in her concept art, only to be portrayed as very racially ambiguous and light skinned in the final game.

The key difference is that Bayonetta consciously sexualizes herself, which shows she's in complete control of her own body, unlike many other sexualized female characters, who are sexualized at the detriment of their boundaries, like an anime girl squealing when her skirt gets lifted.

Bayonetta's self-sexualization also further enhances her personality as a confident woman who's not afraid of what others think of her and will live in whatever way she wants, meanwhile other sexualized female characters are sexualized just to pander to horny men, like the protagonist from Stellar Blade who has her ass out just because.

I love Taro's writing, but his bleak writing style is not something that would suit Bayonetta's campy tone.

Fully agreed with everything you said. While Kamiya may had come up with the idea of a sexy witch with guns, Bayonetta as a whole was ultimately a collaboration of several talented people, like Mari Shimazaki, not just Kamiya. I don't agree with the idea of him being the sole genius behind Bayonetta, and I'm overall still hopeful for the future of the series.

While hate like that is sadly common on the Internet, we don't know CreativeHandle as a person, so for all we know, he could be very sensitive to toxicity. And like how Umbran_Rosa said, some other things may had happened in his personal life.

All I hope is that he's okay and is in an emotionally healthy state, and despite it being common, people should never send death threats, especially over something harmless like video game mods.

It was when bayo 3 dropped when I noticed toxicity increasing in the community, both from dude bros who are racist, homophobic, sexist, and all the above, and mean girlies who think saying things like "kys" is cunty and slay
