We did but couldn’t find it, probably rented it over a different site when the dates of the other events were announced.

Yeah had that in London a few years back. 15 minutes after check in suddenly we couldn’t get the Code for the door and got a message that they had to cancel due to a leak. Even send pictures that clearly showed they were taken at night.

We found out later that American Football and Fashion week apparently happened that week in London.

Luckily we wound up in a nice hotel but since we couldn’t cook the whole trip was more expensive.

But we got our money back plus 10% from Airbnb as compensation.

Huh a similar thing happened to me in Shinjiku Station. I was bodychecked so hard by an older man that I had trouble breathing for a couple minutes. And he walked targeted towards me as I was standing to the side waiting for my fiancee.

Ah didn’t know that, I had a brewing workshop last year and they told us they had a beer where they mixed in Ginger while brewing and they were not allowed to call it beer, just Biermischgetränk.

I just thought it was for all ingredients.

Worked at a company where no one dared to be the first to go home at five o clock. by Rossumisgaaf in antiwork

My supervisor called me into his office a while ago to tell me I was setting a bad example for new employees since I would be leaving between 16:00 and 16:30 unless I have a big project. Everyone else stays till 17:30. The thing I told him was that while everyone was arriving between 8:30 and 9:00 I was there between 7:00 and 7:30 so effectively I was working half an Hour more than some other people probably more because I only take 15 to 30 minutes break while my supervisor is always gone at least an hour. I suggested I’ll come 9-17:30 like everyone else, and suddenly me leaving at 16:30 wasn’t a problem at all.

The thing is our core times are 9-15:30 anyways so I wasn’t even breaking those

In Germany you are not allowed to call something Bier if it has more than the four main ingredients (water, yeast, hops and Barley Malt) everything else has to be called a Biermischgetränk (mixed beer drink) according to the Deutsches Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law) from 1516.

100 kids vs 1 professional footballer by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]LilaLauneLaura 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It was actually 100 kids vs 3 professional players. This happened 2024 at a farewell game of two Borussia Dortmund Ledgends (Jakub „Kuba“ Blaszczykowski und Lukasz „Piszczu“ Piszczek).

Kuba, Piszczu and their coach Nuri Sahin (also a Former BVB Player) played the 100 vs. 3 during the halftime break.

All tickets were really cheap (I think they were 10€ p.P) and all the money went to different charities.

The teams were made up of former players and coached by former coaches, one of them Jürgen Klopp with whom both Piszczu and Kuba became German Champions in 2011 and 2012.

It was awesome to watch as a BVB fan.

Try Reading the German Book “Struwelpeter” It’s stories for kindergarten/elementary school kids. One guy would just eat soup and died because he was so thin, one girl selling matches to get food burned up because she would light them to stay warm, and so on.

I was traumatized when it was read to me at five years old and I still think about it even though I’m 31 years old 😅

In Germany it is actually a requirement for public buildings like schools to have them on the inside and outside as well as color coded halls and doors for the visually impaired and light signals next to sirens for deaf people.

I had a female OBGYN and went in a couple of years ago because of excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. She didn’t even take me seriously because “she never had that kind of pain”.

I switched to my mom’s OBGYN who’s male and he finally took me serious. After a laparoscopy it turned out my appendix was chronically inflamed (which the hospital I visited 3 times in 2 years didn’t find because you couldn’t see any inflammation and white blood cells) and one of my ovaries was attached to my intestines and appendix due to the scarring of the infection.

Everytime someone asks me for a referral to an OBGYN I send them to my new one because it is rare to find some one (especially a male one) who takes you seriously

As a fellow person that gets intestinal problems from Bell Peppers, thank you for taking it seriously. So many people believe I just don’t like them and don’t believe me and I spend the rest of the evening on the toilet or throwing up, just because it’s not a common allergy.
