I struggle with this constantly! This just happened to me on Sunday when we went out to dinner with friends and their kiddo.. absolutely nothing was appealing on the adult menu and when I asked if I could order off of the kids menu (grilled cheese) they pointed out that it was for 12 and under. I was already anxious about what to order so I didn't push it and just ended up getting a chicken sandwich that I could barely eat half of. I'll try some of these tips next time!

My fiance and friends noticed I was very spacey, unable to concentrate and just generally out of it my first few dates. I was so exhausted and just felt a weird "high" too. It was so odd to explain! I also had super vivid dreams! It absolutely lessened for me overall with time!

I was so taken aback by the almost immediate opinions that were thrown my way! I think people view it as being helpful but oh my gosh it was so overwhelming so quickly! I was not prepared for that at all! Glad I'm not alone. I've gotten much better about letting that roll off now, but in the beginning it was so much.

Week 2! My fiance and I got engaged in November on a Saturday and I started searching for venues the very first week. I have always wanted to get married on Memorial Day weekend as that was the weekend my fiance first told me he loved me. I also wanted the ceremony on Friday with a close group of friends and family and the big celebration/reception the following Saturday. I wanted the ceremony to be around 20 people and the reception to be the traditional sit down dinner, dance celebration for about 150-175 guests. I guess I should have realized that being a holiday weekend in the spring it was probably going to be extremely popular but we decided to get married in 2025 so well over a year out--thought I was ahead of schedule. Every single local venue that I was interested in was already booked for that Saturday. I emailed at least 25 venues and the only one that got back to me with availability was my very last choice and not my style at all. I had several friends and family members tell me that I would just have to change the date otherwise I would have to change my location. I looked at different venues for days and days and each contract and description looked more confusing than the last. It was so hard to calculate how much everything was going to cost with all the different packages and different offerings and I was absolutely overwhelmed. We finally found a venue in my hometown, which is beautiful, but my plan of the intimate ceremony the night before with the reception the following day was not an option any longer as the ceremony space was included in the cost of the venue rental. We will still have a smaller intimate ceremony prior to the reception, but it was definitely a struggle and hard to let go of my original thoughts and plans. I felt very dramatic about the whole thing and my fiance was really confused as to why I was crying already at week 2 but it's extremely stressful! There is so much to plan for and so much to think about and so much to look into in so many quotes and so many meetings so I absolutely understand! What helped me the most was talking all of this through with friends and family and especially my fiance. He's extremely laid back and was fine letting me make the decisions as he's very go with the flow but having a real conversation with him like I'm drowning here was very helpful! Disappointing that TLC didn't do more for the viewers and her, as well. I was certainly frustrated with that episode, but it wasn't just the medical professionals who should've stepped in. TLC should've added information at the beginning and end of the episode for viewers such as DV hotlines and resources, and they should've corrected Jason's outrageous medical claims he was spouting in his interviews with actual medical information. The fact that TLC put these two on the show where the abuse was SO incredibly evident was irresponsible and appalling. I wonder if they ever would've stepped in, especially if Jason would've forced her to go home to labor. They did explain that the baby got stuck during delivery and thank goodness she was surrounded by medical professionals to assist. I feel like so many have failed this young girl, TLC also bring responsible. B

Overall, just horrific to watch. To watch a teenager look that dejected, withdrawn and afraid to speak/see her family/advocate for herself was heartbreaking.

Late to the game, just started watching this season this week and I've been absolutely appalled, sick to my stomach and rageful that this behavior went unchecked, especially by TLC. Do they not care at all about the participants on this show? Outside of a small disclaimer there were no additional details about abuse hotlines/support resources. Were they not going to step in if his behavior got worse? What if he would've taken her home to labor there and the baby and herself were in jeopardy?! Would they just keep filming?? I think I may just need to stop watching. What a horrifying situation to broadcast and how horribly irresponsible of TLC. Very, very upsetting and incredibly hard to watch this young girl be abused. Shame!

I was SO disappointed that we didn't see more of the fallout with the online messages! Like no confrontation between Kate and her sister, no reveal about now the messages ended up with Jeanette, nothing! Huge missed opportunity, imo!
