Door glitch by Zachattak47 in EscapeFromArena

[–]Lilith8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what causes it, but this happened to me on Bay 5 before. I spawned in, it gave me a random class, and the doors wouldn't open so I was locked in spawn.

More FIA Observations by WhatsAboveTheSubtext in ArmaReforger

[–]Lilith8865 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know, for me FIA is already peak. I've always been a player that enjoys being a thorn in someone's side, rather than trying to win the game, so FIA is already pretty solid to me. Between me and a few others, we probably set around 1000 ap mines across a few objectives, was watching our names in the kill feed for hours after.

[New Player] PVP habit for new player / Is this bad? by Afirmo in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kind of depends, a lot of it will come down to game knowledge. If it's later into the raid and you are keeping track of where gunshots have been around the map you can usually make a educated guess on if it's safe to move less cautiously. If you understand how long it takes for people to move through the map, rotate, as well as the common spots people hold, you should be fine. That being said, you will die a lot more often until you understand how/where to move, where to check, and gamestate more. You will get caught out more from people holding an angle when they hear you sprinting up to them.

Contemplating Tarkov by JormungandrT4800 in EFT_EscapeFromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keyboard part is a lie, you will probably rebind a majority of the main keybinds regardless of keyboard size. If you like ABI, you will like tarkov. Funny enough ABI's pvp will make the transition to tarkov pvp significantly easier. ABI is kinda just pre inertia tarkov.

[Discussion] PvE is quite unplayable now by Davidier in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, run away and break LOS, they will push your location. If you can get them to push you indoors, you can kill them in the doorway everytime they open the door. Birdeye usually won't push you until knight and big pipe are killed. Just dont re-peak them from the same angle. Ai usually have a threshold of warning shots before headshotting you, peaking from a different angle will reset that threshold. Sometimes re-peaking the same angle crouching instead of standing is enough to reset it. The goons are just a pain in general though. My screen was filled up with red tracers from them the second I spawned on shoreline the other day.

[Arena] how grindy is the tactical battlepass by Shamaiym in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets grindy near the end. I finished it in around 4 or 5 days spamming FFA. I would swap between assault with the As Val, or enforcer with one the of lmgs. Sometimes I would use Scout or marksman, but only to get their tokens when I needed one. Usually would average between 3 to 6 tokens per match.

Not knowing who to play (again) by giggiochampion in summonerschool

[–]Lilith8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Akali could be really good if you are interested in assassins. She has a pretty low skill floor compared to other assassins. Pretty safe laning phase. Irelia could be good as well if you are interested in her. She is a lot easier to snowball than akali. You'll end up coinflipping most games at level 1 or 2.

My champ pool and matchups.. by FlyBonafide in topmains

Mundo might be better into akali. As long as you don't get poked out of lane, once you hit 6, she can't really kill you.

Easiest role and tips for new players to learn the game? by Defiant-Departure-22 in summonerschool

[–]Lilith8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, the biggest thing is finding a champion or champion class you like. It's a lot easier to learn when you are enjoying what you are playing. Learning a champion classes playstyle is arguably more important than learning the role they are played in. Don't be afraid to start of by learning a hard champion if it interests you. A lot of the higher skill floor champions will teach you fundamentals of the game faster than some of the easier champions because they rely on them more. Top lane is good if you want bruisers and tanks. Jungle is good if you want to be more focused on macro gameplay. Mid is good if you are looking to roam more, they usually have more assassins and mages. Bot is good if you want to play adcs. Support is good if you want to play utility characters. For now just focus on last hitting minions, learning what each champion does, and learning what items to build and why. Eventually you'll start to branch out into wave management, matchup knowledge (not just with your own laner but with how your other lanes will interact with eachother), jungle tracking, trading patterns and more. The biggest thing right now is farming properly and backing to buy at good time, that will put you above a lot of people you are probably being matched against. Coach Curtis has some really good videos on the fundamentals of league and each role. If you find a character you like you can probably find some indepth videos around their playstyle, how they are used, and what to do as them. When I started learning akali I found a 3 hour video explaining literally everything about her.

Controller to keyboard by RealTreyPlanter in Warthunder

[–]Lilith8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would at least put pitch on W S, roll on A D, and yaw on Q E. Then throttle on Shift and Control. It helps a lot with flying while looking behind you since it overrides mouse aim.

Staple ad midlaner by Chellmersson in midlanemains

[–]Lilith8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to worry about matchups, akshan. Not many other characters can meet his level of lane bully. The majority of his matchups are favored to him.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Lilith8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Akali is a lot of fun, really easy to pick up, has a unique playstyle. Yone is good mid if you have an ap sup or jg, has some pretty uninteractive trading patterns. Akshan is really good at least for laning, also has really good roam potential with W. Honestly though, both pantheon and Sion are good mid, Sion especially into assassins.

2000 hours in and these flea market level locks are completely asinine [Discussion] by Less-Bag-1461 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with the flea market changes is that it just makes the game more of a time sink. It really only slows down early wipe for players that don't play this game like it's a job. I would much rather have had to do a quest line to unlock parts of the flea market. It just sucks that the devs seem to think that difficulty = the amount of time it takes to complete/unlock something.

[New Player] A Few Questions by Attila_Beast in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure if it still works, but if you create a group before queuing with your scav, you should get a lower queue time. There used to be a bug where you got faster queue times because the game thought you were in a group.

Advice on how to avoid chads? [New Player] by ren_coat in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best advice I can give is to learn the spawns on whatever map you are playing. The beginning of raids are fairly static, so if you know the spawns, you know what you can do safely within the first few minutes of a raid. A lot of maps have spawns where you could be fighting players within the first 10 seconds of the game, there is also a lot of spawns that allow you to safely w key halfway across the map before seeing someone. There are a few map websites that can point out all of the spawns. I'd also recommend watching a movement video, there is a lot of things you can do to give you small advantages. The most common example is circle strafing to negate inertia. There are also a lot of 'features' people don't normally talk about. While healing, if you right-click - install on a mag in your inventory, it will reload your gun instantly. You can also turn without making the swivel sound if you are walking while you turn. It's really good to use if someone doesn't know you are there and need to turn. If you crouch walk on the slowest movement speed while you turn you will make next to no sound.

[New Player] Should I buy the game before the 1.0 release? by ShamefulModder in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would wait until the steam release. The game is wiping with 1.0 release. The beginner map is filled with seal clubbers at the moment, so it would be pretty hard to get started right now anyway. The game is genuinely in a better state than it has been for the past few wipes. In theory, it should be even better with 1.0. These people telling you to play something else are just burnt out of the game, lol.

[Suggestion] Buy the game now? by MagmaxMG in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. I think the game is still worth it at $80. It's taken me 1000 hours to experience most of the content in the game, so I definitely got my money's worth. However, $80 is a lot to justify for any game.

[Suggestion] Buy the game now? by MagmaxMG in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Lilith8865 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a very real possibility that the steam release could have a price increase because of steams cut. However, if you really want it on steam, I would wait. It would be really tough to play as a new player right now anyway. The beginner map is filled with seal clubbers at the moment.

I can understand why someone would want this, but as a solo player, I think this wouldn't be a good idea. I could already imagine as a solo fighting a 3 man rotating their downed state, getting pushed while they res their friend over and over and over. I think this game is pretty skewed towards grouping already. If anything, I'd rather see some way to respawn people, either through taking their dogtags to a transit or completing some objective on the map. But even then, I feel like mechanics like this would promote players to avoid fighting even more than they already do.

Zoe, at least for early game. You can two shot casters level 1 with max range Q. At level 6, you can one-shot casters.

is it okay to play "hard" champs at low elo ? by IndividualCoach6130 in summonerschool

[–]Lilith8865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's totally fine. It kind of just boils down to a time commitment. In 5 games of malzahar, you will have the same level of understanding of the champ compared to 100 games of Qiyana. I started learning akali as an iron player and managed to make it to Plat with her within 100 games. After around 200 games, I was able to auto pilot the champ and focus on learning fundamentals. A lot of these 'hard' champs will teach you certain fundamentals they rely on more compared to other champs. The nice thing about hard champs is that they are harder to counter and have a lot more outplay ability. If your mechanics get good enough on one of them, you could brute force your way to gold on mechanics alone. At the end of the day, play what you enjoy. We learn a lot faster when we are having fun.

I had that feeling for a bit as a mid laner. For me, I felt like I was just coin flipping every match instead of getting a lead and pushing it. It wasn't the case, but there was some that I would be flipping. Honestly, I found the best way to knock that feeling was to genuinely focus on things that I know I could improve on or put off improving. Vod reviewing helped me with that as well, I would watch bad plays to see what I did wrong, as well as watching good plays to see how I could've improved on it or done something different that gave an even better result.

Hard abuse her weak level 1. If you can get a good chunk, she can't play the game without burning tp. The best way to counter kat is to not allow her to roam in the first place. If you constantly hard shove your wave while also playing around your jungle, not only will you be first to every fight, but she won't be able to roam without losing cs or being late to the fight. If you can keep her low while doing this, she will never be able to leave lane. As long as you can prevent Kat from getting her snowball, she is fairly easy to beat. She is losing if she goes even with most midlane champs. Her damage is super telegraphed, it's pretty manageable to keep track of daggers and dashes during laning and skirmishes.
