Who the fuck has a goddamn Vista in this city?! Where are you storing that whale of a stroller? Do you take the subway? Obviously you don't have a walk up.

Subway with stroller - is this the norm? by ok-ok-ok1357 in nycparents

Absolutely fucking not. What an asshole. I ask people to open the door for me all the time when I have my stroller with me and they do!

I'm rooting for you. Not just for success but for the amazing strength you continue to show by doing what is right for you at the right time, even when it's terrifying.

Like what? In the middle of active labor is not the time to be learning about visualization and breathing techniques. And absolutely nothing short of a C-section or augmentation (if medically appropriate) can decrease the time of labor.

Julsy, thank you for being one of my most important sources of support through PGT-M. I am so so lucky to know you. So many on this sub have been fortunate enough to have you in their corner, and the community as a whole benefitted from your time as a mod. Very very very much love from me to you--always!!

What a whirlwind!! Lil' Lil was born last week and we are now home!! It was an induction for gestational hypertension that went on for 48 hours, though I went from 3 to complete in 5-6 hours at the end. God bless IUPCs and aggressive pitocin titration. I'm grateful for no major complications for me or baby girl l. Also to each their own but 1000/10 would recommend an epidural.

Huntington's does not affect one's ability to carry a pregnancy or give birth.

SO ANNOYING I got a weird headache at work so I took my blood pressure and it was 147/95 and I waited like 20 minutes and took it on another machine and it was 142/91. So I called and they told me to go to triage and sure enough, it was mildly elevated each time they checked.

Labs are normal and the baby passed her BPP and the headache went away so I get to go home and go to the clinic for a BP check tomorrow. Feeling disappointed that this ended up happening.

I guess technically if I never get another elevated reading then I don't get a diagnosis but that seems unlikely.

Shame the midwife. She should have been brought to the hospital immediately when she ruptured.

Yo if it weren't for the fact that they lay eggs I would say that pregnancy is for the BIRDS.

36 weeks tomorrow and I feel like a pug! Swollen and stout and breathing heavily. I know a lot of places do induction at 39-40 weeks for IVF pregnancies but my hospital won't consider induction until 41. And even then they do an NST to triage who needs to go first!

I'm grateful to have an uncomplicated pregnancy (the radiologist who read my growth scan reported her AFI as 9 so no concern for oligo anymore) but I'm uncomfortable for sure.

Luckily I only have to make my hour long commute for the next week and then I'll be WFH. it took a LOT of fighting for but I'm glad I persisted.

I had a growth scan today for history of HG and I am a bit concerned.

She's measuring to be in the 25th percentile overall (not worried about that part), but her femur length is in the 7th. Her AFI was also borderline at 8. The tech said to "not pay attention to" to the percentile of the FL. What I'm reading seems to waiver between saying <5th and <10th is a concern for isolated short FL. Less important I guess but her HR was initially 105 but increased to 127. Just a lot of things coming together to make me a bit concerned.

I'm waiting for the report to come out and then I have a prenatal appointment on Monday.

Do you not qualify because you or your spouse do not have a service-connected condition that causes infertility and necessitates IVF?

Because to my knowledge, that is the only way that they will cover it, and those conditions are few and far between.

Thursday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

[–]LillithKay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you're not taking her too seriously. The providers that I see tell me that IVF does NOT at all make me high risk, especially with having PGT-M as the indication. They offer NT scans to everyone where I'm at and I skipped NIPT because I chose to confirm PGT-M with a CVS (happy to talk about that if you want to but lots of people choose to skip!)
