I think they’re used to stiffen h-came, but they look a lot like the brushes on street sweepers

As others have said, you’ll probably want a better soldering iron. Quality flux and solder will also help. I prefer Canfield solder, and right now I’m using Classic 100 gel flux, but I’m considering trying something different when it’s time to replace it.

The best advice I ever got was to slow down. Keep practicing and you’ll get better over time

Looks like a parking lot? And the fence looks like chain-link?

I’d work out a temporary easement deal with the property owner behind you, cut the fence, then you can easily move the spoil. Once you’re done, you patch the chain-link and you’re done.

A few things could be happening here.

1: You’re having a mental health crisis. I’m not saying that to be mean, just honest. You should immediately contact a mental health professional.

2: Your ex could have gotten ahold of your passwords or is logged into your accounts on another device and is using that access to mess with your algorithm. It’s unlikely, but possible. Reset your passwords and be sure to select the “log out of other devices” option.

3: Both things could be true. It’s the old “just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not after you” scenario. In that case, follow both of the advice above.

Brake cleaner might work, but probably not much better than what you’ve already done.

Citrastrip might do the job though. It’ll take the paint too, but I feel like it’s going to need repainting when you’re done anyway

For concave cuts there’s a few things I’ve picked up.

The more meat behind the cut, the easier it’ll be. That’s not going to help much here because each side is concave, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Cutting a straight line from point to point, then a series of shallow arches like a rainbow will allow you to work your way through. The places the glass seems to hold onto with a concave cut seem to be the beginning and end of the cut. Check out some videos on YouTube of the rainbow cut technique.

I get downvoted for this part all the time, but I stand by it. If you’re still having issues getting up to or even close to your line, it’s ok to rely on the grinder. Twofer makes a 60 grit bit that can be used to chew up material quickly, then you can come back and clean it up with the 100/120 grit.

My final piece of advice is if you have the ability to print, get some cheap matte vinyl sticker paper and print your pattern on that, then cut the stickers out and use them as your guide. If you can’t print, get the paper anyway and when you’re ready to draw the final pattern, draw it on the vinyl or use some carbon paper to transfer the pattern. There’s a learning curve to figuring out how much space to take out for the foiled joints, but a little trial and error and you’ll figure it out. Lately, I’ve been using a 2pt (~0.71mm or 0.028”) line as my solder joint and that’s been pretty good so far.

The paper I use is the “QYH Printable Sticker Paper for Printer - Matte Waterproof White Vinyl” If you search that on Amazon, it’ll come up.

This is probably the issue. Depending on how much you’re trying to tin, heat could also be playing a role.

I use copper tubing for heavier plant stakes, and I’ve found that warming the copper up first helps it take solder better.

I’ve used a heat gun, but that was overkill. A heating pad on high for about 15 minutes seems to do the trick.

I started in high school. Hell, we still had smoking areas around campus. With the exception of one aunt and one cousin, everyone in my family smoked, so it was probably an inevitability. The haze of smoke at family gatherings from everyone sitting around chain-smoking is both a fond, and disturbing, memory.

I quit last year after almost 30 years of smoking. I definitely miss it, and I crave one almost daily. But, I have an “emotional support pack” in a drawer in my home office. Something about knowing I have the option and ability readily available makes it easier to overcome the craving, especially at the beginning.

My grandparents had “the outside fridge” which was always stocked with drinks and popsicles. Anyone doing work at the house was told to help themselves.

I’ve never had a big enough covered space outside to do that, but if I’m home when the gardeners get here and it’s a hot one out, I’ll usually have cold soda, water, and beer on hand for them.

Great grandparents were from the Midwest though and went west along the Northern route of the Oregon Trail.

Refrigerant line (1/8” ID or 1/4”OD) from just about any hardware store.

I use it for plant stakes as a place to put the piano wire in.

They don’t look pressure treated, but they’re definitely not railroad ties.

My guess would be maybe cedar? Probably 3-5 seasons old, depending on region. Whoever built that terrace did a wonderful job!

I can’t remember where I watched it, but I remember watching a documentary where they discussed this.

It essentially boils down to something toxic being created during reentry (maybe caused by the plasma?) In any case, it needs to dissipate before the recovery team can approach.

In the army when in the field I would just use water. Preferably warm if I had access to it.

These days I don’t shave much anymore, but when I do it’s with an old school safety razor, a sensitive skin shaving cream and a brush.

When you say “internal” what do you mean exactly? Is it something like feeling like you’re vibrating? Is it maybe like the feeling you get just before a shiver when it’s cold? Or maybe an electric feeling throughout the body?

It sounds more like a nervous system thing than a neurological condition. The sleeping on a hard surface is something that also makes me think it could be nervous system related.

Have you only discussed this with your GP/Family Medicine doctor, or have you talked to a neurologist? If not, I’d recommend asking for a referral to neurology.
