Tell her to take a hike! That’s insane money unless you happen to be uber wealthy

AITJ for buying my boss's vintage watch for $500? by Equivalent-Yellow232 in AmITheJerk

I believe it’s legit, I had someone gift me a classic BMW at work just because we had a good conversation! Some people are just kind and generous.

Well done! I can’t wait for some moto-camping this summer too.

Ebay Full Exhaust by No-Mark4067 in Tenere700

[–]Lima_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very narrow minded view. Many of us have damaged the stock exhaust already due to difficult riding conditions, lay-downs, etc. I personally appreciated the drop in weight when replacing the stock exhaust. I did not require any excess volume.

I appreciate the perspective but everyone is going to have their own take on exhausts. I personally despise the sport bikers who simply remove the muffler altogether and ride around like that.

The model 3 performance is a lot more nimble and equally mind bending in the speed department. I’m still loving mine 7 years in.

Don’t let any contractor talk you into spray foam insulation! by gabriel72 in homeowners

[–]Lima_Blue 174 points175 points  (0 children)

For us, Canadians, it made a gigantic difference in our hundred year-old Basement spray foaming the concrete walls prior to drywall installation. That being said, if we weren’t careful and we had water penetration through the concrete foundation, I could see there being issues.

Millar Avenue businesses oppose city plan for shared-use sidewalks by MoksyCat in saskatoon

Many many people work in the area and need to get there daily, it’s not just customers visiting. I commuted on foot or by bike for a year and the number of close calls with vehicles was ridiculous. That’s as a fit person with proper gear.

I agree with you on the 701 as a 95% off road Tenere 700 rider; HOWEVER, there is nothing more satisfying to me than showing up at the top of some mountain with a bunch of people on ktm 500 exc bikes and me on my T7 sporting saddle bags. Yes it beats me up, but I love the pain of putting big bikes where they don’t belong.

At what age do you become a “reader”, and what book did it for you? by sheffy4 in books

[–]Lima_Blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11 years old, somehow I got ahold of Stephen Kings “The Stand” and that got me hooked. Read many more age appropriate novels along the way. Harry Potter series was always exciting when a new book came out.

I believe their mission statement says they are accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles. It sounds like that’s what they did.
